Some of you know me as the girl who lived the “dream,” but underneath the noise of social media, I was slowly losing myself — not only as a creator, but also as a consumer.
Millions looked up to me, but what they couldn’t see was that I had locked myself inside one of the biggest traps of the 21st century. I became everything everyone wanted — except me.
After giving up everything that “made me” — my business, my brands, my lifestyle — I realized my identity had been built on achievements with no foundation.
So I went down the rabbit hole of identity from a biblical perspective and how social media distorts it. What I found was enough to never touch social media again for three months.
It was a good kind of silence. It felt like someone lifted the veil for the first time and I experienced true freedom. I started to fall in love with God, with life, and with myself again.
But while I was still in the middle of my identity crisis, God asked me to write a book about identity.
I felt like the most unqualified person in the world to speak about identity when mine was so fragile. But God said, “You are the one — you just have to remember who you are.”
All I can say is this: we would surely go places if we saw ourselves the way God sees us. I took every bit of courage and started writing… and within 3 months — by the grace of God — I created Before the World Named You, a journey of remembrance to reclaim your God-given identity in a world full of social conditioning.
The world wants you to forget your identity and believe you’re not enough. But there is Someone waiting to remind you who you were before the world named you — and His name is Jesus.
Through raw reflections and biblical revelation, I expose how culture and social media rewrite who we believe we are. I walk you through shedding false labels and rediscovering your true worth and unshakable freedom in Christ.
