We call Maria the Queen of Birria because she was born & raised in Guadalajara, Jalisco (where Birria originated). Our mamá has been cooking with amor ❤️ever since she turned her passion and artistry of singing into cooking.
When Maria first arrived in Canada in the 80’s it was almost impossible to find traditional Mexican food, ingredients, chilies 🌶️ or even tortillas. Missing her culture, she became innovative in what she could source while remembering cooking techniques that she learned from her mother. Such as secret recipes that have been passed down from generations, Maria began cooking and creating dishes from scratch. 👩🏽🍳🇲🇽
Maria continues to carry this passion for YOU 🤗by using fresh local ingredients and her most signature ingredient… LOVE. 🫶
