Designed as a “total work of art,” the pavilion combines architecture, art, furniture, color theory, and spatial experience into one immersive structure.
One of the coolest details is the massive floating roof that almost seems detached from the building itself, protecting the colorful modular steel structure underneath.
The whole pavilion was assembled from prefabricated elements based on Le Corbusier’s Modulor proportions, basically turning architecture into a giant, perfectly proportioned system. Even more impressive: the project was initiated and financed by Heidi Weber, who pushed the pavilion to completion after Le Corbusier’s death in 1965✨

It's the Glashaus in Dornach, Switzerland, designed by Rudolf Steiner in 1914. And even today, it feels more like a living organism than architecture.
Look closely: there are almost no straight lines. Steiner believed buildings should flow naturally, almost like movement frozen in time.
The entire facade is covered in hand-laid wooden shingles, creating this incredible skin-like texture that changes color throughout the day, from deep brown to glowing copper in the sunlight.
And that massive dome? For 1914, it was an incredibly experimental engineering move, built as a sculptural organic form instead of traditional symmetry.
Even the windows were designed to control how light “flows” through the interior, because this building originally served as a workshop for crafting stained glass for the Goetheanum.
More than 100 years later, it still looks futuristic.

1. Sleep is not optional. After 17–19 hours awake, cognitive performance drops to a level comparable to a 0.05% blood alcohol concentration. You are not “pushing through,” you are making weaker decisions. Even a 90-minute sleep cycle can restore focus 🧠
2. Reduce scope instead of quality. Strip your concept to one strong idea and execute it cleanly. Projects don’t fail because they are simple, they fail because they are unfocused. One clear diagram beats five confused ones.
3. Work in timed sprints. 40–50 minutes of focused work followed by 10 minutes of real rest improves output by up to 25%. Doomscrolling is not rest. Walk, stretch, drink water ⏱️
4. Prioritize drawings that communicate the core idea, no need to impress someone with the beauty. Plans, sections, and one strong visual narrative matter more than over-rendered perspectives that say nothing. Clarity wins juries.
5. Use constraints as a tool. Limited time forces better hierarchy. Decide what must be perfect, what can be good, and what can be dropped entirely. Professionals do this every day.
6. Eat something real. Glucose levels directly affect concentration and memory. Coffee is not a substitute for food ☕
7. Stop comparing. You are seeing others’ polished outputs, not their process or breakdowns. Focus on delivering your version, not outperforming an illusion.
8. You schoud finish, don’t perfect. A complete, coherent project always scores higher than an ambitious but unfinished one. Done is a strategy.
9. Ask for targeted feedback. One precise question to a peer or tutor can save hours of blind iteration.
10. Remember the baseline: architecture school routinely demands 50–70 hour work weeks during peak periods. Feeling overwhelmed is not evidence of failure, it’s evidence of load. Manage the load.
You are not behind, you are overloaded. Adjust the system, not your self-worth. Keep moving, intelligently.

Heey! I'm Maria Stasevich — but you can just call me Marí. I’m an architectural designer with a deep love for everything from structural systems to bold, unconventional designs.
This blog is dedicated to exploring the path and challenges of being a young architect in Europe, as well as discovering architectural design around the world. I’m fascinated by contemporary architecture and all its unusual forms, and I love sharing that passion here.
✨️ Studying architecture at university was always just the beginning for me — I’m constantly learning from experienced architects through my work, my Honest Architecture Podcast "Brick by Brick" (YouTube link in bio) and "Marchitecture" project. I interviewed both seasoned architects from renowned firms and emerging young talents!
Since my very first year of undergraduate studies, I’ve been working in the field alongside university. My CV already includes six architectural positions, including experiences at KVL, Hild und K, and Tchoban Voss Architects 🫠
I’m also passionate about modern technology in architecture — BIM, parametric design, AI, and all the exciting innovations shaping the future of our field. On my profile, you’ll find reviews and insights into the latest tools and software for architects.
I graduated from Technical University of Berlin, and starting this year, I’ll be pursuing my master’s degree outside of Germany: in Sapienza University of Rome.
