These two wanted to climb every cliff for their elopement day.
As we were going over locations, these two had their heart set on going off the beaten path for their vows. When I showed them this spot hidden away in the mountains of Zion with slot canyons and epic cliffside views, these two were sold.
We started on a very popular Zion Trail for sunrise, and then made our way deep in the back country. Switching in to four wheel drive as we made our way through the snow.
These two really lit up as we bushwhacked through snow to the this mountain top. The thing about D+R? The more adventurous (and maybe a little sketchy) the more excited they get. They even started running up the mountain and racing each other to the top 🥹. The even crazier thing?? Doris is pregnant!! I was absolutely floored and awed by her excitement to climb every rock and scale every mountain.
It was an absolute pleasure capturing these two and their adventurous spirits and how they just made each other laugh the whole day. You can definitely see their personalities in each photo we took together. ❤️
Thank you D+M, and I can’t WAIT for your baby to be as adventurous as you two are!

I WILL BE AT YOUR WEDDING. I need my leg amputated? Get me a peg leg and I’m there.
Nothing drives me crazier than horror stories of photographers bailing last minute on wedding days that people have been planning for years (this only applies to photographers that have literally no excuse like a small cold or they just don’t feel like working that day).
All this to say- there are legitimate reasons people will call out from wedding days that are not up to their control. But I will ALWAYS make sure I’m there or a trusted associate if I’m on my death bed. I’ll never leave you hanging.

And what better way to kick off pride than sharing the most beautiful weekend I got to spend with Alexi and Juan. 🥹
I had the opportunity to be the third wheel on these two from their sunrise proposal overlooking Zion National Park, to saying "I do” the next day- Vegas style 🎰.
Hanging out with these two for 2 straight days? I can absolutely tell you they are made for one another. The love and joy that they constantly exude when looking in to each others eyes is potent.
One of my favorite stories Alexi shared with me is that he was called on stage to sing at a Katy Perry concert. He didn’t know Juan at the time, but Juan was in the audience and recorded him singing with Katy Perry. They only discovered the coincidence when they started dating. Can someone say.. INVISIBLE STRING THEORY?
Invisible sting theory if you’ve never heard about it is basically this- it explores the idea of fate: that unbreakable, invisible threads connect soulmates and guide people to where they are meant to be throughout their lives.
And I just love that idea. That fate or the universe gives you little glimpses or pulls in the right direction until the time is right to be with your soulmate.
And in the case of these two? I 100% believe it.

Garrett and I met T+Z at an all inclusive resort in Mexico the year before, and they got engaged on that trip. I was STOKED when they asked me to capture them tie the knot a year later 🥹. It felt like I got to see their story come full circle.
These two started getting ready with their people, and doing a private first look and vows overlooking the sandy shores of Cancun, and ended running in to the ocean. Wedding dress and all 💃.
Being around these two and their families/ friends it was so clear to me how deeply their people love them. It was heart warming to witness everyone rally together to support them from all over the U.S. to dance the night away with them in Mexico. ❤️
Also- my husband got to D.J. For them, and I have to say he was the best M.C. 🤣

When Courtney reached out to me, we instantly connected over our fascination over true crime and all things paranormal. When C asked if she could incorporate exploring Grafton (an abandoned ghost town on the outskirts of Zion), I was so excited.
It was such a unique way to tie the knot as these two celebrated their love.

We had the most perfect lighting all day, and it was just one of those days as a photographer that you geek out behind the lens the whole time. It was just that good.

We started at sunrise, and explored Canyonlands at sunset. We took in every color and ray of light that illuminated the red rock around us. We even took in the sky full of stars long after the sun had set behind the horizon, T+M cuddling with their dog around the crackling camp fire.
Booking photos with me is more than just posed pretty photos, it’s an experience. It’s taking the landscape in around us. It’s lingering as we watch the light change the colors on the canvas around us, it’s taking in the look of the person you love most as the towering canyon walls embrace you.
Photos are more than just photos to me, and I’m so glad I got to help T+M explore and experience all the magic that Moab is. 🏜️ ✨
