Alfie has always lived as an only dog, and that is how we wish to home him. He did have a short trial at home with another dog, but it became clear Alfie can become very attached to his trusted people and he begins to guard them from other dogs. He much prefers to keep his humans to himself. He can be reactive to other dogs, but has met other dogs in passing fine. He moreso asserts dominance, so we’d much rather Alfie’s canine bubble remain small to keep him the happiest he can be🐾
Alfie has a very high prey drive, so a home with cats & small furries is out of the question!!
Being a working breed type, Alfie would suit adopters who have experience with similar breeds and understand he will need both mental and physical stimulation needs met. He loves being out & about, and thrives off structure, routine & activities to focus on. He’s also been working with our behaviourist who has set a plan in place to help with his car reactivity. He is such an intelligent boy who learns very quickly & responds well to routine and training🤭
Once alfie knows you, he quickly bonds & thrives off fuss and attention from his loved ones. He’d benefit from adopters who have plenty of time for him & are happy to keep building his confidence. We would consider homing him with older, dog-savvy teens who can give him space should he need it & allow him to settle at his own pace🏡
Alfie is a super bouncy boy, and what comes with this is the need for a super secured garden - 6ft fencing minimum is a must🫡
Other than his favourite people, Alfie’s one true love is balls. Playing with tennis balls & footballs is his favourite past time here at the rescue, however he gets a little impatient & will bark at you to keep throwing it🎾!!!
Alfie is an adventure loving, loyal little man who is so deserving of a spot back on a cozy sofa. He truly deserves the best home but it must be filled with lots of love & plenty of tennis balls🩷

Jerry is a Collie lover’s dream! He is affectionate, clever and eager to be part of the family. He is house trained, walks nicely on the lead and we are told that he has good recall too. He is a very smart boy who already knows a range of commands including sit, wait, off, drop and leave, and would thrive in an active home where he can be kept both mentally and physically stimulated.
Jerry would like to be homed with another kind resident dog of a similar size. He would be best suited to an adult only home and would benefit from adopters with collie and rescue dog experience. He would love a rural home, as he can be sensitive to certain sounds and so homes in busier areas wouldn’t be suitable for him. He would really benefit from adopters who are around for much of the day and have plenty of time to spend with him. ✨
Jerry does show some signs of separation anxiety, so his new family will need to continue building up the time he is left gradually. We are told that he is happy being left for short periods but will need patience and understanding while he settles. He isn’t keen on car travel, and he can be sensitive to sounds and may react to sounds such as fizzy drink cans or bottles opening, sneezing, coughing, nose blowing, printers, hoovers, microwaves, lorry reversing beeps, motorbike revving, army range noise and fireworks. He will bark towards you but with reassurance he settles quickly. He has never bitten and is just worried, but his new owners will need to continue noise desensitisation training in the home. It may never be something he entirely overcomes.🫶🏽
Jerry has settled back into the rescue well and is a wonderful boy who is already enjoying snuggles and really loves to play! He is a truly special boy who has so much love to give and is ready to find a calm, understanding home to call his own once again.😊

Im 4 years old and I came to the rescue in December. I didn’t have the best start to life because I came from something called a breeder and I guess that’s what’s made me worried of humans and the world around me.
At first I would get so scared of being handled by humans that I felt I needed to protect myself but after being at the rescue for a while I’m realising that humans can be kind.
I like my kennels mums and I do allow them to handle me without a fuss, they give really good head scratches but I do feel slightly guarded still.
I’m currently being harness trained and I put it on quite easily and keep it on no problem. I will take some steps but then I realise I’m attached to some sort of line that doesn’t let me run off if I get spooked and that scares me a little. I dont like busy or loud environments right now, it’s a bit much for me. My kennel mums say I’m doing really well and I’ve made so much progress.
I have a playful side and I really let it show in the play yard, my kennel mums put out big blankets on a sunny day and I love rolling around in them and being silly.
Sometimes I like to chase dogs and demand they play my game even though I haven’t explained the rules to anyone. I’m not sure I know the rules myself as play is new to me, I’m told I can come across a little bossy. I mostly keep myself to myself though.
I had a kennel friend here who I became best friends with and we faced this big scary world together however she got adopted and I’m still here. I’m so glad she found a home as I’m told a home is the best place. I’ve never had one.
I’ve made some new friends here but none like her so I think I would like to find a home now too.
I would like a home with a kind human who understands I may need to take things slowly. I would also like a home with a new best friend there for me, so that I can have someone again for when things feel scary.
My kennel mums tell me I’m the sweetest and they cant believe I dont have a home yet which makes me feel hopeful I have a chance❤️🩹

One of Xavia’s funniest little traits is that when he really bonds with you, he seems to forget he’s a dog and pretends he’s a bunny instead hopping as high as he can, usually straight towards your face, in excitement and affection! It’s impossible not to laugh at his goofy personality. 🐰💛
Around new people, Xavia can be quite timid and stand-offish, so he’ll need patient and understanding adopters who have experience with nervous rescue dogs and are happy to let him settle in at his own pace. Because of this, he’s looking for a calm, adult only home where he can feel safe and secure.
We feel Xavia would be happiest as the only dog in the home, as he prefers having his own space around the kennels. That said, when he’s out in the larger yard, he has enjoyed socialising and playing with other dogs.
Xavia is walking nicely on his harness and is eager to keep learning, although he will need some support with house training while he adjusts to home life. ✨
He truly is an extraordinary little chap, and once he’s settled and bonded with his new family, he’s guaranteed to bring endless love, laughter, and personality into the home. ❤️

With patience, reassurance, and gentle guidance, Flamingo has all the potential to blossom into a loving and loyal companion.
Flamingo takes great comfort from her canine companions and looks to them for confidence and support. Because of this, she will need at least one kind and confident resident dog in the home to help guide her as she settles into home life.
As Flamingo has never lived in a home environment before, her adopters will need to be patient and understanding while she learns the basics, including house training. She is not yet walking on a lead, but we feel this is something she should pick up quickly once she begins to feel safe and secure.✨
Flamingo would thrive in an active but calm home that can offer her plenty of quiet adventures, allowing her to explore the world at her own pace while continuing to build her confidence. She could happily live with dog-savvy teenagers who understand that she will need a gentle introduction to the home and her own space to settle in.
Flamingo has arrived with a lump on her right shoulder and an umbilical hernia, both of which will be addressed at the time of her spay. ❤️

Charlie is an incredibly affectionate and friendly boy who greets everyone like an old friend. He absolutely adores his kennel mum and loves spending time with people, always seeking fuss and attention… even trying to sit on laps despite his giant size! 😂
He’s brilliant with handling, excellent at the vets, and very food motivated, which has been a huge help with his ongoing training.
Charlie gets on wonderfully with other dogs and especially enjoys the company of calm, confident female dogs of a similar size. He could happily live with another suitable dog, but he’s also confident enough to be the only dog in the home as long as his adopters are around for much of the day to keep him company.✨
Because of his size and puppyish manners, Charlie could live in a home with dog savvy teenagers aged 16+ who are confident around large breeds. He can still be a little mouthy during play, but he’s learning quickly and already responding well to training.
When Charlie arrived, he appeared to have slightly wobbly back legs. At this stage, our vets aren’t concerned, as this can be common in large growing breeds, but it will need to continue being monitored. He’s also currently a little underweight, so his future family will need to help manage this. 🫶🏽
Charlie does struggle with being left alone and will bark when by himself, so he needs a home where someone is around most of the time initially, with alone time built up gradually. He’s also working on his manners around food because treats are VERY exciting for him!
This fun loving, goofy boy enjoys hanging out in the office watching the world go by, and he’s full of character, love, and potential. With the right guidance, companionship, and continued training, Charlie will make an amazing addition to a home that understands giant breeds and is ready for a very big best friend. 🧡

Another week of doing what we do best 🐾
We’re forever grateful to have the opportunity to help these dogs and show them the love they truly deserve. 💓
As always, a huge thank you to everyone who continues to support us. Your kindness and generosity mean so much to both the staff and the dogs here at the rescue ❤️

Danny is a 6 year old handsome chap who has come to Many Tears in search of his first ever home. He initially was a very shy boy who had showed small signs of hope & promise, and we just knew there was a loving boy underneath that initial fear…
All Danny needed was a little time & he is now such an affectionate little man. He adores his kennel mummies, and gets very excited for his daily dose of headscrates and wormies in the bed next to them🥹
This brave little guy has even began harness training this week, and he absolutely smashed it. He thoroughly enjoyed trotting about realising he now has the whole world at his feet…he just needs a family to share it with🩷
Danny would love to be homed with atleast 1 kind and confident resident dog who wouldn’t mind welcoming him into their family home with open paws. He is relatively confident on his own however he does pine for his friends if they are not around him🐾
Today, Danny met a cat and he was such a respectful little guy. He definitely could live with feline friends!!!😻
There must be someone out there wanting to give Danny a chance. His kennel mummies are going to be extremely jealous of whoever gets to adopt this diamond of a dog, he will truly be the best addition to your family💎

Rosie is a gorgeous little girl who arrived with us at just two days old after sadly losing her mother. Her previous owners made the difficult but responsible decision to bring her to us so she could receive the specialist care she needed.
Since then, Rosie has been hand reared by one of our dedicated staff members and has absolutely thrived. She is now growing into a happy, healthy, and affectionate puppy. ❤️
Rosie is a 13 week old Collie x Huntaway who will need a home with experience of Collies, where her adopters understand the needs of her breed. She will require plenty of socialisation, guidance, and ongoing training, as well as an active lifestyle with lots of adventures. 🫶🏽
She would be really well suited to an agility home, or a home where she can be kept both physically and mentally stimulated with plenty to do. Rosie has recently started learning some agility with her dad and is doing absolutely amazing at it already. ✨
She will make the most perfect addition to someone’s home and is sure to bring so much love, fun, and companionship to her future family. We really hope Rosie finds her forever home soon so she can truly settle once and for all and enjoy the happy life she deserves. 💓
