1. Tipping ๐ธ
In France, I used to leave one, two, maybe five euros as a tip โ or sometimes nothing at all โ regardless of the bill. Here, I usually tip around 15%. Now when I go back to Europe, tipping feels mandatory otherwise I feel terrible. ๐
2. Driving long distances ๐
Mexico is such a huge country that driving four hours to go to the beach feels completely reasonable to me now. In France, after four hours on the road, Iโve practically crossed half the country!
3. Being myself ๐ธ๐ผ
There are millions of people in Mexico City, and I feel like the more people there are, the easier it becomes to truly be yourself โ without worrying about being judged or about what others think. ๐ซถ๐ผ
4. There are always people everywhere ๐จ๐ปโ๐ง๐ฎ๐ฝโโ๏ธ๐ฉ๐ปโ๐ซ
No matter the time of day or night, in any neighborhood of the city, there are always people around. Even going grocery shopping on a Wednesday at 10 a.m., there will still be a line at the checkout.
5. Clothes no longer having seasons ๐๐ข
It can be cold in the morning and very hot in the afternoon. So itโs completely normal to see someone wearing a coat and boots standing next to someone else in shorts and sandals. ๐
