Nach einem Biwak oberhalb von Chamonix wurde ich am Morgen darauf von diesen anmutigen Tieren geweckt.
Dieses Exemplar wollte unbedingt an die Stelle wo ich zurvor gelegen und barfuß gestanden hatte, da ich dort vermutlich um an die Salzkristalle, die ich durch den Schweiß abgegeben hatte, zu gelangen.
Auch war ich beeindruckt davon, wie gelassen die Tiere waren, wenn man sich ruhig verhalten hat und keine hektischen Bewegungen gemacht hat.
Einen besseren Start in den Tag kann man sich kaum wünschen. 😮💨

Genauso hatte ich mir das Biwak am Lac des Chéserys oberhalb von Chamonix vorgestellt.
Nur mit Schlafsack und Isomatte da oben unterm Sternenzelt nach knapp 880hm Aufstieg zu liegen, ist das Eine – aber am nächsten Morgen vom König der Alpen höchstpersönlich begrüßt zu werden, ist einfach unbezahlbar. 🐐😮💨

Bei eurem Island-Besuch im Sommer, solltet ihr auf jeden Fall den Mælifell-Vulkan besuchen, der absolut surreal alleine in der schwarzen Sandwüste steht. 😮💨
Für den Weg dahin braucht ihr ein großes 4x4 Gefährt und etwas an Fahrskills. Der Weg vom Süden über die F232 ist etwas einfacher als über die F210 von Norden aus.
Informiert euch unbedingt bei den Rangern und auf umferdin.is über die aktuellen Wasserstände/Straßenverhältnisse.
Falls ihr euch bei einer Flussdurchfahrt unsicher seid, im Zweifelsfall immer auf ein anderes Auto warten, auskundschaften oder umdrehen - ich musste auch auf der F210 umdrehen und dann von Süden ranfahren. 🥲
