📍Morocco (via Seville 🇪🇸)
One of the best parts of studying abroad in Seville is the ability to explore entirely new cultures just a weekend trip away.
Our quick ferry ride to Morocco was unforgettable, filled with camel rides, amazing local food, and exploring the beautiful blue walls of Chefchaouen and Tetuán. Beyond the incredible sights and communal bakery visits, this trip taught me that stepping outside your comfort zone and encountering new cultures is truly integral to becoming a culturally competent professional in any field. It challenges how you see the world and expands your perspective in ways a classroom never could.
Most of all, I’m grateful for how these eye-opening experiences bond you with the people right beside you. When you navigate a completely foreign place and witness so many beautiful, different things together, you forge a connection that stays with you. This weekend gave me a permanent group of friends from UH Mānoa that I’ll share these memories with, and have in my life forever.

📍Sweet Land Farm, Waialua, O’ahu
It may be summer, but special projects and research still continue for many of our students on campus!
We tagged along with Dr. Rajeev Mishra and some of his animal sciences students from as they took blood samples and collected data from the dairy goats at. This partnership provides hands-on-experiences for our students while generating data that Sweet Land Farm can use to monitor and prevent disease in their livestock dairy goat population.
