🗓️ Ende Juni war ich zwei Tage lang auf den Mallorca Championships 2025 im idyllischen in Santa Ponça unterwegs – bewaffnet mit meiner 📷 Leica M240, auf der Suche nach den unbeobachteten Momenten zwischen Aufschlag, Applaus und mediterraner Ruhe.
⛰️ Die Anlage – umgeben von Palmen, Sonne und perfekt gepflegten Rasen – strahlte fast schon filmischen Zauber aus. Aber mich zog es nicht aufs Spielfeld selbst. Vielmehr spürte ich die Magie: ein Linienrichter, dessen Schweiß im Licht tanzte, ein Security-Mann beim kurzen Blick auf sein Handy, Ballkinder in konzentrierter Ruhe.
🎾 Im Einzel standen sich Tallon Griekspoor und Corentin Moutet im Finale gegenüber – ein spannender Wettkampf, den Griekspoor schließlich in zwei Sätzen für sich entschied. Im Doppel triumphierten Santiago González und Austin Krajicek nach dramatischem Match-Tiebreak gegen Bhambri/Galloway.
Abseits davon zeigten sich stille Szenen, die für mich das Turnier definierten: zwei Freundinnen mit Rosé unter Palmen, ein Balljunge mit geschlossenen Augen kurz vor dem Aufschlag, ein älterer Fan mit altem Turnier-Trikot voller Innigkeit. Sonnenlicht und Schatten formten Kurzgeschichten, die kein Spielbuch kennt.
💡 Die Mallorca Championships 2025 waren nicht nur ein sportliches Highlight – für mich waren sie ein Augenöffner: Fotografieren bedeutet, aufmerksam zu werden für das Zwischen den Zeilen. Es sind die stillen Momente – abseits der großen Emotion – die authentisch, menschlich und wunderschön sind. Schwarz‑weiß, manuell fokussiert, Leica pur: Das ist meine Art, eine Geschichte zu erzählen.
