Growing up in a family where all my sisters were simply perfect, I was always the odd one out.
The constant comparison, rejection, disappointment kept digging a deep dark hole in my mind & my heart which resulted in my short temper, low self esteem & my self destructive nature.
It’s amazing how I remember every tiny detail of all the hurtful comments I received about,

Especially “ HOW DIFFERENT I LOOK FROM MY SISTERS “
I failed to understand why Looks were so important even when I was just a kid?
Why I had to be just like others? What was so wrong about being myself?
I remember crying & praying most of the nights, not wanting to be ME anymore.
It’s sad how I felt growing up about myself.
I wish I could Hug my younger self & tell her

This picture of Receiving Gold medal 🏅for my academics from Kalam ji is my most prized possession. I still couldn't believe how blessed I am to be able to stand this close to him, to shake hands with him. I remember going for the stage practice for the convocation of my University, and I still wasn't sure if everything happening around was true or not, until I saw him smiling infront of me✨ the memories I have with this picture & the entire experience are still so fresh n so magical.
