È vero che è il mese del riposo, delle vacanze, del mare…. Ma è anche il mese che mi porta indietro a quella camera di ospedale in cui mi è stata diagnosticata la leucemia.
Così…. In un giorno d’estate del 2009… in un giorno delle mie tanto attese ferie, quelle due settimane che aspettavo più di ogni altra cosa, da trascorrere insieme a mia figlia, allora cinquenne, e insieme a mio marito che lavorava fuori regione.
Un vero fulmine a ciel sereno….
Non dimentico quello che mi è passato per la testa in quei minuti dalla diagnosi, in primis la paura…. Ero terrorizzata, non sapevo cosa mi aspettasse, non sapevo i tempi… ero certa solo di una cosa… perché credetemi… io non ho mai pensato di non farcela (forse anche un po’ inconsapevole) l’unica certezza era che avrei continuato a crescere mia figlia❤️
La camera sterile è durata 28 lunghissimi giorni…. Le terapie erano massacranti, i capelli che cadevano, i dolori laceranti… ma non mollavo! Mio marito, i miei genitori e mio fratello e famiglia sempre presenti, e poi amici, conoscenti, i colleghi di allora…un affetto che ancora oggi mi emoziona❤️ e poi i medici e infermieri del reparto di ematologia di Pescara, è proprio grazie a loro che io sono ancora qui 🙏🏻
E poi mia figlia, mio marito me la portava nel
giardino dell’ospedale e io la salutavo dalla finestra del quinto piano, quante lacrime versate, ancora oggi in effetti, perché certe emozioni non si dimenticano.
Il percorso è stato faticoso, lungo, con qualche incidente di percorso, ma ho aspettato quel “sei fuori pericolo” come un 6 al Superenalotto.
Il cancro purtroppo non guarda in faccia a nessuno, è come una ruota che gira e si ferma a caso.
Ma oggi si brinda…e stasera si balla… anche per ricordare chi ha lottato con tutte le sue forze ma non ce l’ha fatta ❤️
Dopo questa esperienza capisci il vero senso della vita e attribuisci il giusto valore ad ogni cosa! Cercate di non perdere mai il sorriso, anche nei momenti più difficili! 💪🏻💪🏻
