Today, with his three little legs, he runs when she calls. There is still a little fear in him, but never when it comes to her. The love he has for my mom is different. Deep, loyal, certain. He may not show us the same affection, and that is okay. He knows who saved him.
Watching the way my mom loves so instinctively and so selflessly makes me believe my life will always be blessed. Love like this does not go unnoticed. God is watching. And I am so grateful to be her daughter. 🤍
