Guests were treated to an unforgettable evening—starting with a red carpet entrance and moving into a culinary experience by Schaffer that was as artful as it was delicious. From Dungeness crab puffs and lamb sliders to a four-course dinner of roasted filet mignon and sautéed branzino, every bite was perfection. Dessert? A citrus birthday cake, mini sweets, and servers passing out popcorn and Red Vines for a playful nod to the movies.
Bars served custom cocktails, including a tropical Magnum P.I.–inspired tiki bar with drinks like “Sunset Over Oahu” and “The Red Ferrari.”
A 26-piece orchestra filled the night with music from Don’s most iconic shows before shifting into dance classics, and Montecito’s own Natalie Noone-Pressly delivered a breathtaking performance of How Do I Live.
The night ended with a show-stopping four-tier cake from Lele Patisserie—wrapped in a film reel of Don’s life—while a slideshow and photo booth captured even more memories.
What an honor to celebrate such a remarkable life and legacy.

On August 9th, Don’s home was transformed into an elegant, star-studded affair for over 200 guests, including family, friends, and a galaxy of actors from his hit series Quantum Leap, JAG, and NCIS. From the moment guests arrived, the night was pure Hollywood magic—stepping out onto a vibrant red carpet, greeted by “paparazzi” flashes and the sight of a vintage Jaguar in the drive.
Don, dashing in a white tuxedo jacket, and Vivienne, stunning in a pink floral Oscar de la Renta gown, welcomed their guests with warmth and style. The evening was filled with laughter, reunions, heartfelt tributes, and an undeniable sense of gratitude for a career—and a life—well lived.
