You will not believe that we went to the No. 1 ranked bar in the entire world (listed on the world’s top 50 bars). Paradiso is a famous cocktail bar hidden behind a pastrami shop in the heart of Barcelona.
The lines here are crazy so you’ll need to put your name down early and come back a few hours later. We waited for 6 hours but the beach was nearby so we chilled there for a while. I know it sounds crazy, but it’s worth the wait.
The cocktails are all crafted to be incredibly interactive and each one tells a story. Each drink has such a profound flavor profile I promise you that you’ve never had cocktails like these before. On top of that, the bartenders bring energy as they sing, dance, and engage with everyone while making the drinks. The drinks were around $16 USD each!
This was a once in a lifetime experience that you have got to add to your Europe bucket list! Follow for more travel content

Recipe:
Coconut layer
- Melt ½ cup sugar in 2 cups water
- Mix 1 cup water chestnut flour with 2 cups coconut milk
- Pour one ladle of flour mixture into hot sugar water until thickens
- Pour thickened mixture back into remaining milk and sieve
Brown sugar layer
- Melt ½ cup of brown sugar in 2 cups water
- Mix 1 cup water chestnut flour with 2 cups water
- Pour one ladle of flour mixture into hot sugar water until thickens
- Pour thickened mixture back into remaining liquid and sieve
Steam layer by layer on high heat (~3-5 minutes per layer until cooked)

My favourite items were the creamy matcha cocktail, yellowfin sashimi, and seared king salmon temaki. All the drinks were fantastic and inspired by Japanese flavors and the food really speaks for itself 😍
I love that this restaurant is opened so late and the vibes are immaculate ✨ Definitely check out Oku Izakaya if you’re craving some good Japanese eats.
