In our opinion, the best way to see the REAL Puerto Rico is renting a car and roadtripping through it.
These are some of our favorite spots you need to add to your Puerto Rico bucket list:
🌴 El Yunque National Forest
🌴 Vieques and Bioluminescent Bay
🌴 Charco Prieto Falls or any waterfall that’s swimmable
🌴 Survival Beach in Aguadilla
🌴 Guánica State Forest
There are also a lot of low key places we missed such as the Camuy Caves, the central mountains, and Culebra!

By the end, we genuinely loved this place, we just wish we got more sleep (which was the main objective of booking a place sooo)! All night, the chickens were just constantly screaming into your ear and it was just impossible to drift off
We arrived at midnight after spending a long day exploring the island of Vieques, and we were also absolutely COVERED in sand from it. So having to take a shower at midnight with no hot water in a chicken coop was something we really weren’t exactly up for.
The entire place was genuinely cool though, in the morning the owner gave us free breakfast by delivering it with a dumbwaiter to our porch. We had waffles and Puerto Rican coffee. She had a beautiful cow named Hope who ACTUALLY lets you pet her, and the chickens follow you around everywhere.
The owner was super passionate about her farm. We would totally come back, just not at midnight after a long day when all we wanted was SLEEP!
P.S. THIS IS THE NIGHT BEFORE OUR RIDICULOUS SANDAL HIKE IN EL YUNQUE, SO WE WERE ALREADY OUT OF IT

There is one thing we learned from this experience for sure. Never ever go to a tropical rainforest without proper shoes. We were wearing BAREFOOT SANDALS, nothing could be worse than that.
That was our first time in such an environment and little did we know that a little bit of rain could absolutely demolish the terrain in a matter of seconds. It turned into a literal sinkhole nightmare.
Locals that were passing us were all wearing mud shoes and they hinted that turning around is the right move. We wish we followed their advice. We decided to keep going until we started getting injured.
By the end, it got dark and we were in tears from aching knees, blistered feet and fear of getting stuck in the forest at night. On top of that, we were scared of getting attacked by stray dogs on the way back. They are literally everywhere in Puerto Rico. They started barking and howling as it got darker which terrified Madina the most.
It did take us forever to get back down but eventually we made it back safe and we’re so grateful for that.

We visited 32 states and 2 countries 🇨🇦🇰🇿
We bought a 40 year old van to live out of and sold our trailer 🚐
We posted over 148 videos this year and gained over 7,000 followers! 🎥
2026 is our most exciting year yet. We will be traveling in our vintage van visiting the western USA. We will be visiting national parks, sleeping under the stars, and be updating all of you along the way!
For everybody who’s been with us and still is, thank you for your patience. You’ve all been testing out our content and you’re still here with us today as veterans from our cringey content from the past 2 years! Weare so glad you still like watching us!
In 2026 we are hoping to achieve even more on this platform with better updates, higher quality content, and establishing a thriving community on our page! Thank you all!
A lot of you must be wondering why we haven’t left the East Coast yet or started living in our vintage van full time. 🚐
Van life comes with unexpected delays, and we didn’t anticipate the solar installation taking this long. Our favorite mechanic in Pennsylvania took on the project even though he hadn’t installed solar before. He generously offered us a discounted price, but it’s taking longer as he figures things out. ☀️
We also didn’t winterize the van, assuming we’d be in Texas by winter. Surprise, surprise, we’re still in the Northeast. That led to some frozen pipes, which we’ve thawed and winterized. Fingers crossed there’s no damage.🤞🏻
For now, we’re revisiting places we missed on the East Coast which is not as exciting anymore. We’re literally losing our minds thinking about being in the West right now. Hopefully, we can get there soon 🙏🏻

Not gonna lie — this October was pretty stressful for us. Between trying to buy a camper van, selling our RV and car, transitioning from RV life to vanlife, and not wanting to miss out on New England foliage, we definitely had our hands full. Still, it turned out to be such a beautiful month as you can see in the photos. 🤪
Right now we’re in Massachusetts at our parents’ house, still working on making our vintage van livable for full-time travel. We really can’t wait to get back on the road and head west! 🏜️
It’s been a hectic month, but we’re excited for what’s ahead. New season, new setup, same adventure spirit. Let’s see where November takes us 🫶🏻
Many shamans believe that used items, especially older ones, carry the energy of their past owners.
Some of that energy can be negative and may transfer to new owners.
So to clear away any lingering negativity, you must perform a cleansing. And now our van is ready to make new memories with positive vibes only ☮️
Follow to see our life in a vintage van 🚐
Yep, that’s exactly what we did for 4 days straight. It was brutal. We would keep waking up in the middle of the night shivering, feeling the cold deep in our bones 🥶
So it’s no surprise I ended up with the flu. Getting sick in the van is definitely not fun!
#vanlife
We gotta say we were a little nervous to buy an old van as we wanted a vehicle that is reliable and in good condition. We’re very grateful for the previous owners of the 1985 Dodge for keeping it well maintained and clean. 🫶🏻
We have a big journey ahead of us and we really hope our van will make it to all 50 states and beyond! 🗺️
Follow to see what life in a vintage van is really like 🚐
After a year and a half of painfully unenjoyable travel in our RV, we are ready to complete our mission of visiting all 50 states in a more old school style!
Here is what we are looking forward to:
✨ more time spent together
✨ more flexibility allowing us to change direction at a moments notice
✨ less linear “point A to point B” mindset, more roaming allowing us to see more places than we ever would in a trailer
✨ the ability to easily off grid and avoid campground fees
We are 32 states down right now with our feet still not dipped in the west coast, we saved the best for last! Follow us and watch the pleasures and struggles of traveling in a vintage van!
