実はこの数日間風邪をひいてしまっていた私🤧
久しぶりに高熱が出たり、体調が悪い日が続くと、普段の何気ない生活が本っ当にどれだけ有り難いか再確認させられる。
風邪くらいで大袈裟かもしれないけど、健康でいられるって当たり前じゃないね。笑
あらためて、健康に過ごせる普段の何気ない日常に感謝をしなきゃなぁと感じた数日間でした💭
みんなは体調いかがですか？
北海道のお寺の新しい住職に、私の友人であって同期であって先輩でもある真生さん がなるということで、週末は北海道室蘭に行っていた私。
そこで感じたのは、一つひとつのご縁を大切にしていくことの素晴らしさかなぁなんて思ったり💭
真生さんは本当に笑顔が素敵で、その優しさや明るさがたくさんの人を惹きつけて、自然と周りにも笑顔が増えていくような僧侶。
そうやってどんなご縁も大切にしているからこそ、今回の住職になる式【晋山結制】にはたくさんの僧侶やたくさんのボランティアの皆さん、その他にも成功を支えてくださったたくさんの方々が集まっていたんだと感じました😌
たくさんの素敵な繋がりがあれば、この先苦しいことがあったとしても、きっと大丈夫。
心からそんなことを思った心温まる式でした。

今年も早いもので、もう6月に入ったね〜。
6月はやっぱり梅雨の季節っていうイメージ☂️
雨が多いと私は昔から少し憂鬱な気分になる。
晴れてくれないかな〜って思ってしまう。
でも、同じ雨を喜ぶ人だっている😶
もしかしたら私より雨を嫌う人もいるかもしれない。
どれだけ雨が好きだろうと嫌いだろうと、雨はただただ降るんだけどね。
雨っていう天気だけでも、人の数だけ捉え方が違ってくるもの💭
これは雨に限ったことじゃない。
自分の考え方や捉え方を変えるのって本当に難しいことだけど、自分の考え方、捉え方が全てじゃない！絶対じゃない！って少しでも意識できていたら、生きるのが少しずつ楽になると思ってる😌
自分の見方が全てじゃない、考え方は１つじゃない。
今日からまた、意識しておこう。
今の時代は特に、何かを選択するときに「自分の役に立つか」とか将来のことを考えることが多い気がする。
もちろんそれも大切だけど、ときには「自分がやりたい」とか「興味がある」っていう気持ちを優先してもいいよね💭
進路や就職先を決めるときも、興味関心があるところじゃなくて、待遇がよかったり将来性があるところを選びがち。
でもそもそも学びたいことや仕事にしたいことって、「やってみたい！」っていう理由で選んだってもちろん良いわけで😌
そうやって興味関心を持って選んだことを一生懸命やり続ければ、きっとそれなりの成果が後から自然とついてくる。
もちろん、役に立つかだったり将来性だったりっていうのは大切。
でも、最近はそういう理由で選択することが本当に多い。
ときには自分の気持ちや興味関心を見つめ直してみて、それを優先してあげることも、人生を充実させることにつながるんじゃないかな☺️
特に暑い季節に草取りだったり外で作務をしていると、ありがたいことに「夕方とか、涼しくなったらにしたら？」って心配の声をかけられることが案外ある🌱
そんなときに思い出す言葉が「他は是れ吾にあらず。更に何れの時をか 待たん」。
要は、他人は他人で自分は自分。
後でやろうと言い訳をしていたら、貴重な時間を逃してしまうっていうこと💭
誰かがやるだろうって考えるんじゃなくて、自分でやらないと自分のためにならない。
そして、「後でやろう」「いつかやろう」って思っていたら、結局できないことだってある。
その「後で」が必ずやってくる保証がないのが人生だよね😌
だから私はよっぽど危険な暑さじゃない限り、できる時間があれば後回しにせずに草取りをする🪴
その時その時を大切に、全力で生きることの積み重ねが、豊かな人生に繋がるはずだから。

私が横浜で暮らしていたときは、便利な暮らしだったけど、その生活の中に季節感があまりなかった。
けれど、島根に戻って山や川に囲まれるお寺で過ごしたり、茶道に通うようになったら特に、今そのときの季節を味わう瞬間が格段に増えたような気がしてる💭
山や木々の色の変化を楽しんだり、冬と夏じゃ全然違う空や雲を楽しんだり、茶道の一つ一つが季節をとっても重んじていることに驚いたり。
私の場合は写真を撮るのが好きだから、余計に季節の移ろいを感じやすいのかもしれないけれど🌱
そうやって季節を味わうことは、「気づく力」が養われる気がする。
季節の小さな変化に意識を向けると、季節感を蔑ろにしていた頃よりも心が豊かになった。
気づく力は季節だけじゃなくて、小さな幸せにも気づかせてくれるはず☺️
Buddha、つまり仏さまって聞くと、なんだか遥か遠い存在を思い浮かべがち。
だけどもし、みんなが坐禅をしているのであれば、その坐禅しているみんなの姿はもうBuddha、仏さまそのものなんだよ🙏🏻
仏教は知識があるだけじゃもったいない。
一番大事なのは「修行」、つまり教えを「実践」することなんだよね。
見返りを求めないように。
執着しすぎないように。
正しく物事を見ることができるように。
そんな風なことは思っていても、実践できるかどうかがポイント😌
坐禅をしている間は、なんの見返りを求めなくていいし、執着もしなくていい。
坐禅に限らなくてもいいけど、とにかく修行をしている姿はもうすでに、誰だってBuddhaそのものなんだよね☺️
それが仏教、禅の教え。
