A melody of thrifted vintage + custom pieces handmade in Guatemala and Mexico. is a reflection of the beauty of Central America, its colors, its landscapes and it’s artists.

Making this short film last year was a very special way to reflect on the last 10 years of my life abroad and my work partnering with artisans. If you want to learn more about how I came to live in Guatemala and build you can find the link in my profile to watch the full piece.

I don’t know what all the right words are, but staying silent is being compliant. Human lives are being weaponized. There is just too much at stake to not speak out. This is not about advocating for open borders - this is about demanding humane due process and holding this administration accountable.

We’ve had an incredible response to the October México City art trip we just launched! A few more spots remain, you can go to profile link or comment “México City” if you’d like to learn more + snag a seat next to me on this special small group experience. 🇲🇽❤️
I’m so excited to share that this October I am hosting another small group trip in Mexico City and as of today, you can book a spot to join me.

Five days of getting to know this beautiful place together in all the best ways - diving into food, art, design, culture and nature. A city full of warmth and sophistication - old world and contemporary, classic and edgy, authentic and inviting.

I fell in love with Mexico City when I first went in 2016 and have been going back year after year with a growing love and admiration with each visit. From the tree lined streets dotted with taquerias and cafes, to the sprawling parks, saturated markets, endless museums, and deep prideful roots that honor the city’s layered history, there is so much to take in.

So I created an itinerary that speaks to the beauty of CDMX that I have been lucky to experience. We’ll stay at a quiet jewel in the heart of Condesa, where warm boutique hospitality meets refined architecture. We’ll cook alongside a local chef, take private visits to artists’ studios, we’ll do a creative workshop that I’ll facilitate at a very unique Luis Barragán location, and we’ll adventure to my very favorite vintage flea market.

This isn’t a tour. It’s not a retreat. This trip is a chance to experience a phenomenal city with openminded, thoughtful travelers. If you’ve been thinking about visiting CDMX, this would be an incredible way to do it. I hope you’ll join me.✨

Friendly tip if you’re headed this way. Being in Atitlán is really about just being there, not filling your days with much.
It’s been 2.5 years since we bought a small property in the heart of Antigua. We have put all of our love and energy into remodeling it and are so proud to give it a whole new life with a bright future.

We’re (finally!) in the last stretch of tiny details and installation (my favorite part) and will be soon opening the doors to as a guesthouse for rent and an occasional artist residency space in collaboration with

I could not be more excited to share all about this space and the process of designing it, in the coming weeks. For now here are some sneak peeks of how it looks currently, and a few before photos.
Antigua, Guatemala has been my home for the last eleven years. It is a very special little town that has offered me so many opportunities and beautiful memories - it is a place that I am very lucky to love.

As a Latin American city to visit for a week or even just a weekend, Antigua is a culturally rich and truly authentic destination. But it’s the details that make Antigua so full of character – amazing boutique coffee shops who serve their own beans grown locally, open door tiendas with the sound of tortillas being made by hand inside, women nimbly maneuvering the sidewalks while carrying baskets on their heads, gorgeous textiles woven in the highlands adorning storefronts, the regular sound of church bells, the chicken buses blazoned with color and lights, and the warm feeling of being greeted by strangers with a friendly “buenos dias” in passing.

I have lived abroad for fifteen years. My husband and I were both 31 years old when we got married in the San Francisco Bay Area where we are from. Immediately following our wedding we decided to move abroad for one year - which turned into four years in Casco Viejo, Panama and now going on eleven in Antigua, Guatemala. I didn’t speak Spanish prior to moving, I was a 3rd grade teacher in an international school, and I wasn’t a mother yet. Over the years, we have moved countries, had two children (born in Panama and Guatemala), started our own businesses, and bought our home.

Our home is so special to us. When we bought it, we didn’t have one single piece of furniture. We started from scratch without much of a spending budget to speak of, but the natural light and oasis of a garden felt like enough.

Decorating took time. We have collected special pieces from our travels that fill the space with memories and stories. We use handwoven textiles wherever possible. We sourced materials from our sustainable tree farm where we grow endangered tropical hardwoods (like mahogany, rosewood, and teak) to design and construct everything from our bathroom to our bed, built-in sofa, television cover, walk in closets, living rooms chairs, coffee table to kitchen island stools.

Building this home has been a ten year journey and is still, always, a work in progress. We’ve had to be very resourceful, and I think that’s ultimately what makes our house feel true to who we are. Living abroad has evolved from an adventurous whim to the story of our lives.

Do you live abroad or ever consider taking the plunge? If so, please ask any questions you may have!

*Thanks to and for the recent tour of our Antigua home. And to for the connection and photos.✨
