Hi, I’m Luke Simon, a photographer based in South Australia. I’ve been photographing people, places and stories for over 20 years, and in that time my work has taken me all over Australia and around the world. I’ve shot everything from intimate weddings and luxury events to lifestyle campaigns, corporate gatherings and private island celebrations.
The Maldives is a place I know and love — this will be my fifth visit — and I’ve been lucky enough to photograph luxury resorts, private events and portrait shoots across the islands. There’s something special about the light, locals and the energy here, and it’s a privilege to help people carry home a little piece of that through imagery.
My work has been recognised over the years with multiple awards, published in coffee table books, and seen across various magazines and editorial spreads. But what I enjoy most is keeping things relaxed and natural, creating space where people feel comfortable enough to simply be themselves.
Throughout our time on ScubaSpa, I’ll be photographing and filming the experience as it unfolds — the learning, the connection, the diving, the quiet moments, the good times. And if you would like to make the most of being in one of the most beautiful places on earth, I’ll also be making some time available for optional private photo sessions during the trip.
