*esta pintura tiene más de 10 años ahora, y tristemente pareciera que el panorama del paÃs ha cambiado poco desde entonces. Comparto una vez más lo que escribà a partir de mi participación:
Para estos cuadros he decidido no adscribir mi expresión más que a un hecho que me parece fatÃdico e irremediable y es la asociación de la muerte y la existencia visible del desecho, un memento mori.
Retomo asà la idea de Slavoj Žižek en cuanto al fenómeno de la basura, en el sentido de que todo aquello que pensamos que se desvaneciera de nuestro plano tangible cuando es arrojado al cesto, envuelto en una bolsa de plástico y dispuesto fuera de nuestro mundo visible, después contenido como material inservible en un área asignada, ciertamente sigue ocupando un espacio real, persiste en definitiva su presencia, preservado pero no tomado en cuenta. Es asà mismo como Gabriela Martinez y Said Dokins cuando crearon el proyecto de Visible Invisibilización influyeron en mà con la idea de que en nuestro paÃs existe una intención por "no querer ver", por omitir, por hacer como que las cosas no suceden o no se ven.
La asociación que quisiera hacer entre esta noción y la serie de secuestros y asesinatos que suceden dÃa a dÃa en México, cualquiera que sea su Ãndole, me parece obvia puesto que lo que realmente es esa reducción de la vida de un individuo a una bolsa de basura, más allá de su sentido morboso, es además cotidiano, se ha convertido en algo común y esa aparente normalidad está transformando la percepción de nuestra condición.
Hay mucho de engañoso en la palabra "desaparecido" cuando nos damos cuenta de que estamos evitando otras como "cadáver" o "asesinado", pero me parece verdaderamente aterrador que encontremos gente sepultada en basureros, como si se tratara solamente de un hallazgo macabro, es un hecho incontrovertible, se ha convertido en una realidad de nuestra sociedad. Parte de nuestra existencia está ligada forzosamente a que estamos contenidos en un cuerpo, que ya sin vida, es aún significante como objeto de igual dignidad que grotesca abyección por ser el relato de las circunstancias de nuestro tiempo.
