Left Seoul at 8am with my sister and niece and started the day with the best seat.
A double decker ITX train, front row seats, little faces pressed to the window, watching the city slowly turn into mountains.
Floor to ceiling glass at Uiam Lake Starbucks, the lake stretching endlessly in front of us, morning light resting softly on the water. The perfect start.
Then we floated—a 3.6 km ride on the Samaksan cable car, crystal cabins.
The Samaksan Skywalk isn’t just a viewpoint. It’s an experience. 360° of Chuncheon wrapped around you, mountains standing still like they know they’re being admired.
Next, the rail bike. Pedalling through tunnels, trees, and shared laughter, letting the afternoon stretch a little longer.
After that, Gimyujeong’s old station. Vintage trains to explore, a quiet park for photos, a gentle pause before dinner.
As evening settled in, charcoal dakgalbi became our dinner—smoky, comforting, and well earned after a full day out.
Back to Namchuncheon with tired legs and full hearts. If you’re planning a Chuncheon day trip with family, this route just works.
