Social media has made us incredibly good at performing happiness.

The dream clients. The busy schedules. The early mornings. The “locked in” mindset. The perfectly curated routines that make it look like everyone is constantly thriving.

And the truth is… a lot of that content performs well because people are inspired by ambition, success, and positivity. I get it, because I’ve shared that side too.

But the people I connect with most online are the ones who still choose to be honest. The creators who remind you that life isn’t always productive, motivating, or aesthetically pleasing. The ones who show the in-between moments too.

Mental Health Awareness Week is something I’ll always respect because behind every profile, every business, every smiling photo, is a real person navigating life in their own way. Everyone is carrying something we probably know nothing about.

This year has taught me a lot about who I am outside of pressure, work, deadlines, and constantly chasing the next thing. And honestly, slowing down can feel uncomfortable when you’ve spent so long attaching your worth to productivity.

So if you’re fighting a silent battle whilst still showing up every day, this is your reminder that you’re doing better than you think you are.

You don’t have to constantly “win” to deserve rest.
You don’t have to always be positive to still be growing.
And you definitely don’t have to have everything figured out.

We’re all just trying our best behind the scenes.

We’ve got this 🤍
It really is all about the journey, not the destination.

When I quit my 9–5 to try and make this work, my first year was non stop. Shoots, editing straight after, same day delivery, and a lot of it for free just to get things moving. Looking back now, I’m honestly glad I pushed through the days where it felt like nothing was really happening or moving forward. There was always that quiet pressure in the background too, the thought that if it didn’t work out I’d have to go back to a normal job and start again from scratch. Nothing in this industry comes easy and there are a lot of unseen hours behind what you end up seeing.

Also just wanted to say it’s been really nice seeing the positive comments recently. I don’t take it for granted at all. I’m genuinely grateful for the support. It really does keep me motivated to keep creating and posting as much as I can.

Appreciate you all. 🩶
When working with brands and advertising campaigns, the visual strategy is everything. Being hired to photograph a campaign is never just about turning up with a camera and hoping for the best.

There’s so much that happens before the shoot day even arrives. Mood boards, shot lists, creative planning, location ideas, lighting references… all the details that take a shoot from good to something that actually feels considered and elevated.

A lot of people question pricing, but they only ever see the final images and not the amount of preparation behind them.

I’ve got some really exciting projects coming up and I’m also really enjoying using this platform in a more personal way lately. Sharing more carousels, more behind the scenes, more thoughts and not putting so much pressure on myself to post every single day ✨
Your dream clients are not booking you because of your camera.

They’re booking you because of *you*.

The biggest thing photographers seem scared to do is show their face, share their personality, and actually connect online… but that’s the part people remember.

I’ve created some of my favourite shoots through genuine connection alone. Not the fanciest setup. Not the most polished website. Just making people feel comfortable, understood, and excited to work together.

At the end of the day, people buy from people.

To think that we’ve been given a platform where our creativity, ideas, and work can travel across the world in seconds still feels unreal to me. The fact that something created from our minds, our experiences, and our passion can reach millions of people is a privilege I’ll never take lightly. Social media has opened doors, created opportunities, and connected people in ways we never imagined possible.

But at the same time, it’s complicated.

We constantly crave distance from our phones, silence from notifications, and freedom from the pressure of being “seen.” Yet somehow, these same platforms have become the main way we express who we are, what we love, and what we dream of becoming. It’s a strange balance… wanting to disconnect while also wanting our art, voice, and purpose to be discovered.

This post is for every creative out there who is simply trying to put their work into the world and give themselves a chance. The artists, photographers, musicians, writers, designers, filmmakers, and dreamers who keep showing up even when the numbers don’t reflect the effort.

Remember this: engagement does not define your value. Algorithms are temporary. Growth is not always visible. Post because you believe in your vision. Post because your work deserves to exist beyond your camera roll or notebook. Post because one day you’ll look back and realise consistency carried you further than validation ever could.

Keep creating. Keep sharing. Keep trusting the process. Someone out there needs what only you can create.
The day of graduation was supposed to feel like the beginning of everything.

But honestly… it felt confusing.

Everyone around me seemed so certain about the path they wanted to take. They had plans, direction, purpose. Meanwhile, I felt completely unsure of myself and strangely alone in a room full of people celebrating.

We’re taught to see these landmark moments as the point where life suddenly makes sense. The moment it all clicks.

For me, it didn’t.

I came back to London and slipped straight back into old habits. I distracted myself. I avoided real responsibilities. And every day, I felt this pressure building in my head that I should already have everything figured out.

Society makes it seem like by a certain age you need the career, the plan, the success story.

And I put that pressure on myself more than anyone else.

Especially now.

The pressure to “make it.”
To become successful.
To prove I’m doing enough with my life.

I get so many messages asking me:
“Does University increase your chances in this industry?”

Maybe for some people it does.

But for me, it comes down to something deeper:
desire, consistency, and the willingness to become the best version of yourself — even when you feel lost.

Because the truth is, a lot of us are figuring things out quietly behind the scenes.

So if you’re questioning your future right now…
if you feel like everyone else is ahead of you…
if you’re scared you’re running out of time…

You’re not alone.

I’d genuinely love to know — are any of you feeling lost about your future too?
