Depois de mais de 15 anos vivendo aqui, conheci boa parte da história, da cultura e da geografia do Japão. Passei por templos, santuários, castelos originais, antigas capitais, patrimônios da UNESCO, montanhas sagradas, vilas históricas e alguns dos cenários mais impressionantes do país. Comecei no YouTube mostrando meu lifestyle e, com o tempo, também me tornei filmmaker, fotógrafo e guia de turismo. Achei que seria difícil algum lugar ainda conseguir me surpreender.
O Castelo de Matsumoto conseguiu. 🏯
Curiosamente, ele quase nunca aparece nas rotas mais famosas. A maioria conhece Tóquio, Kyoto e, no máximo, a região do Monte Fuji. Matsumoto permanece quase escondido. Talvez seja justamente isso que preserve sua essência.
A primeira vez que vi esse castelo nem foi pessoalmente. Foi num quadro exposto na Estação de Tóquio. Entre tantos símbolos do Japão, era justamente ele. Bastou um olhar para aquela imagem ficar na minha cabeça até o dia em que finalmente pisei aqui.
Na minha imaginação, ele sempre parecia um castelo acima das nuvens. Quando finalmente o vi diante dos meus olhos, percebi que essa imagem não estava tão longe da realidade.
Construído no fim do século 16 e preservado em sua estrutura original por mais de 430 anos, Matsumoto não é o maior, nem o mais famoso. Mas existe algo nele que nunca encontrei em nenhum outro castelo japonês.
Talvez seja o contraste do preto com o branco, a arquitetura de uma elegância quase perfeita, o reflexo na água ou os Alpes Japoneses desenhando o horizonte.
Ou talvez seja apenas a sua presença.
Existe uma atmosfera difícil de explicar. Ao mesmo tempo angelical e sombria. Leve e imponente. Como se aquele castelo tivesse asas invisíveis e tivesse escolhido pousar naquele vale.
A única sensação parecida que tive foi no Todai-ji. Mas existe uma diferença: no Todai-ji a grandiosidade pesa. Em Matsumoto, ela flutua.
Foi ali que entendi por que aquele quadro na Estação de Tóquio nunca saiu da minha memória.

Independente do que eu faça, de onde venha minha renda, das ideias que mudam e das fases que a vida traz, nada se compara ao momento em que eu aperto o REC com a câmera virada pra mim, sabendo que estou falando com vocês.
Toda vez que fiquei longe disso, doeu. Porque desde o primeiro dia eu soube: essa foi uma das melhores coisas que já aconteceram na minha vida. E até hoje, nada mudou.
O formato muda. A vida exige adaptação. O jeito evolui. Mas a verdade continua a mesma. Estar aqui, registrando, vivendo e dividindo isso com vocês, ainda é uma das partes mais reais de quem eu sou.
