Born in Windsor in 1787, Abigail lived near the Palisado Green, attended boarding school at the Moravian Female Seminary in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, and returned to Windsor, where, in 1805, she married Col. James Loomis. Together, they raised six children. Abigail passed away in 1867 in the Broad Street home she had resided in for forty-five years.
