Something has been on my mind for a while now. How precious life is and how contaminated our daily lives have become with constant input, notifications, always new, more, everyone trying to stay ahead. Life has gotten so performative that people literally film themselves trying to regulate their nervous system – because that too has become a performance.
But when do you feel most YOU? For me it’s in the moments I’m just present. Free. Connected to the people that truly matter and nature – my greatest inspiration.
So that’s what I’ve been doing. Waking up every day grateful, going to my favourite workout, nourishing my body, taking in small moments (best with good company & good matcha). And most of all, PAINTING!!! And while painting, a lot of thinking, a lot of music, some improvised dancing. Mostly in outfits that will never make it to Instagram;-)
I love the solitude of making art. It’s led me to try new techniques, push old ones, refine things just for myself – whether anyone notices or not. That’s the beauty of it.
So while I can’t wait to share with you the final works next week, here some of the work in progress, behind the scenes bit, the quiet work that makes the true art come to life.
