More than 200 students, alumni, parents, faculty, staff, and industry professionals came together to celebrate the outstanding achievements of our accounting scholars. Thanks to the generosity of our donors and partner firms, $674,200 in scholarships was awarded to undergraduate and graduate accounting students. 🤩
We were also honored to hear inspiring remarks from Alumna of the Year Gina Hagen ’87 and to celebrate retiring faculty member Larry Kalbers with the surprise announcement of The Larry Kalbers Endowed Scholarship for Ethical Leadership.
The evening was a powerful reminder of what community investment makes possible. 📈

What will you remember most about your time at LMU?
Some of my best memories at LMU are spending time with friends at! I couldn't count how many late nights and early mornings I've spent studying and hanging out there. I'll always remember the countless laughs, debriefs, study sessions, and dirty chais... shoutout to the baristas who know my order by heart! ☕
Is there a particular CBA course, professor, or experience you would like to highlight?
All of my business law professors have been instrumental in my academic career, namely Sona Gala, Diana Richardson, and Armando Paz. They have been incredibly helpful and supportive of my goals - whether that's writing a letter of recommendation or coming to watch me in a dance performance! If you have the chance to take a class from them, I highly recommend! 📚
What are your plans after graduation?
I'm still waiting to hear back from several law schools, but I plan to start my J.D. in fall 2026 or 2027. 💼 In the meantime, I'm interning at the Los Angeles Court, where I help self-represented litigants fill and file their civil cases. I also have plans to travel and spend time with friends and family this summer! ☀️✈️
🎉 Congratulations,! We look forward to seeing all you accomplish in the future!

What will you remember most about your time at LMU?
The people I met at LMU made my college experience so special. Whether with classmates, friends, faculty, or staff, the relationships I've built over the past four years are incredibly meaningful and have helped me succeed in ways I couldn't have imagined. ❤️
Is there a particular CBA course, professor, or experience you would like to highlight?
Professor Noriko Sato Ward has been an essential pillar of my LMU experience. I began working with her as a Business for Good Ambassador in my first year, and we've stayed closely connected ever since. Professor Noriko also served as the faculty advisor for my Honors thesis and has consistently supported me not only in my academic work, but also in shaping my career goals and just navigating life in general. I am beyond grateful to have had her as a mentor. ⭐
What are your plans after graduation?
I will be returning full-time to the agent-trainee program at the talent agency I interned at last summer in Century City! ☀️
🎉 Congratulations,! Wishing you the best as you embark on this new chapter! 🚀

From students to professors to guest speakers and more, the people I've met and built relationships with at LMU will leave a lasting impact on me. ❤️💙 I’m extremely grateful for the members of, as they were a community that really felt like home and helped me develop as an individual and professional. 🤝
Is there a particular CBA course, professor, or experience you would like to highlight?
I want to highlight Professor Sona Gala. Her teaching style makes you excited to get up and go to class every day, and she is always so positive, uplifting, and genuinely invested in the well-being of her students. I also want to highlight Professor Tomek Siergiejuk’s Strategic CFO and Wealth Management finance classes, which balanced textbook understanding with hands-on, technical application. He has a way of making you think through problems like someone working in that specific role. 📈💡
What are your plans after graduation?
I plan to pursue a career in wealth management, with the long-term goal of becoming a financial advisor. 💰📊
🎉 Congratulations,! Your relationships, leadership, and drive will take you far. 🚀
