SNOWDONIA WAY DAY 12 - THE LAST!🫣
Oh boy. I woke up that day thinking - is it even real? Will I be sleeping in my own bed instead of sheep poo tonight? Do I really crave it?
I definitely needed a rest at this point and missed Pawel and dogs so badly but… do I want this adventure to be over?🧐
I got up, made breakfast and … you know the spiel. Just go Emilia. GO!πŸ₯Ύ
I started uphill and there was a lot of uphill that day. I kinda regretted I didn’t wild camp higher but you know why I didn’t from the last post.
The Carneddau ponies were bathing in the sun, a bit curious but mostly involved in their own routines (like rolling in the grass or graciously pooping under blue skies). They are so beautiful (especially while pooping πŸ˜‚), it’s so amazing to see them in their natural habitat. So many of them, so free… 🐴🐎
I made a lot of breaks that day, the sun was eating me alive, the insects too. So many bloody flies gluing to my tired skin. And the water. I saved it and racioned it as much as I could and knew my 2 liters must be enough for the whole 27km day but… finally! A little vague trinkle where I could resupply (thank you my water filter for not making me sick!)
After that break my mood boosted but only for 15 min. It was midday and the stops were more frequent including raising up my legs without socks and shoes - it helped with circulation and gave skin some relief.
Finally sychnant pass and last stretch…
CONWY.
I made it!!!!!
Ah, wait. Where is the official end of the route? I scratched my head and just carried on. Somewhere in Conwy will do!
You know the rest from the stories and previous postsβ€¦πŸ€˜β›°οΈπŸ•οΈπŸ₯ΎπŸ’ͺ

And that’s it Peeps. The end of the chapter. I am slowly coming back to reality after all these emotions, edit a looooot of stuff and can’t wait to show you more!
The first YouTube video to come will be about gear hopefully tomorrow or Monday! CAN’T WAIT!!!
And look at the stories to see what’s going on with Pawel right now… very adventurous time for us for sure! πŸ₯Ύβ›°οΈπŸ•️

DAY 11 of SNOWDONIA WAY!πŸ•οΈπŸ₯ΎπŸ”️
Yes I am back at home now but we need to catch up, riiight?πŸ˜…
I made a big tactical error that day but it started pretty well!
Even if I was exhausted after rather rough night (still couldn’t fully trust my tent won’t collapse on me because of gusts but it didn’t!) and my strength was not fully on I did what I did every single day for the past 10 days. I kept going. Boil water, breakfast, fold tent, triple checked if I haven’t left anything, resupply water and… UP UP UP!
I didn’t count km of that day on purpose. I knew more or less how many but I didn’t want to know exactly. Weirdly enough it gave me some kind of freedom I needed. πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ
On the way up Y Garn I saw paragliders, talked with a family who camped nearby, then met a lovely couple whoo took a picture of me with this bloody big rucksack sweating but sooo happy!
Mood only boosted. Then descending Y Garn a couple of Italians drinking espresso under the rock, some runners - some people in their own zones, some people saying hi. I even met a guy who was training for Mont Blanc and we chatted a bit exchanging experiences.
Then the sun started to be a bit too much but I enjoyed it and slowly but surely descended down Bethesda with pleeenty of stops. Just because I could! 😁
By the time I arrived to Tescos I was knackered and super hungry so did what everybody would do - bought literally everything thinking I will eat it all but NAAh - it was too much even for Emilia so what’s left was going up with additional weight. And yes - it must have been more 3 kg πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ
So I kept going up and up again and it LITERALLY killed me and my leg. πŸ˜… I took off the boot to see a big swelling but just thought it’s the heat or maybe abrasion.
I knew I can’t go 20+ km that day so… just found the first suitable spot and… it w as 10/10!
I think I am just good with finding spot these days when you can actually see where you are going!! πŸ˜…
Anyways… Good or not good? Would you sleep there?

I FREAKING DID IT! πŸ₯Ύβ„οΈπŸ•οΈπŸ”οΈβ˜€οΈπŸ΄σ §σ ’󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿
200km (122miles) with 10,000m+ (33,000ft) ascent through Eryri mountains! Snowdonia Way mountain route!
I got EVERYTHING on this trip.
12 days of constant struggle - initially with subzero temperatures, weight of the rucksack, mountainous terrain, navigation, then the bog, streams instead of paths, fog, solitude, exhaustion! 😩
And then came the sun, the views, the people and the animals. I was waken up by a cuckoo, greeted by ihaaa, got approached by not-yet-scared lambs. And suddenly the grass was greener. Not somewhere else but just there. πŸ€
And then the sun killed me. It showed its real face through brutal endless km of no shade, water and I just wanted to sit and escape this madness.πŸ₯΅
I was never so happy to see the castle!
Would I do it again?
Without a blink of an eye. YES YES YES! x1000!!😁

There is so much material I need to edit now, but wait patiently. There is so much more to come.

I wanted to thank you all so much for your support! It really kept me going in tough times but big big thanks to - my support friend who really helped me on day 4 and for all the advice and help to get to the bothy ekhm ekhm πŸ€ͺ
Also I met great people on the trail that don’t have insta but I will name them here - Christiane (❀️), Kevin and Luke - thank you for just being there and experiencing the same thing through the hardship!
Now, time to rest…
Until the next adventure MUAHAHAH

Snowdonia Way DAY 9 and 10!
Hey you guys almost caught up with me in real time πŸ€ͺ
These two days we’re finally what I imagined Snowdonia Way would be almost all the time. A bit of unexpected cloud but also beautiful views, sun and general joy of life!
I also met some cool people doing the same stuff or more or less the same stuff so life got only better.
2 days left and I am already missing my tent but also need to heal my legs and blisters at this point!
It is painful but I’ve learnt to live with it!
What an adventure it is.
To Be Continued

Snowdonia Way day 7 and 8!
And the BIG ONES!
Battered by weather, rain, soaked clothes, wet boots, wet tent… basically everything what could go wrong went wrong. But you know what? I did it. I pushed myself and I am freaking proud! So many doubts, so much loneliness, so many decisions to make.
I did it.
And I slept well that day! πŸ•οΈπŸ”οΈπŸ’ͺ

SNOWDONIA WAY DAY 5 and 6!
After getting my ass kicked on day 4 it wasn’t going to get any easier. I went down to Trawsfynydd, got a bit of sunshine through the bog and even scrambling! Which I actually enjoyed. Then came the rain. I saw the cloud and immediately started to pitch on the spot I scouted a bit before and got caught by it only just…
But the highlight was the visit of my friend!
She joined me in these nasty conditions offering food, great talks through the walls of two tents (yes it was sooo bad with wind and rain we had to yell to each other!) and morning jumping through the puddles we actually slept on.
Ah, and did I mention my tent collapsed on me because of the gusts?
We parted ways in good mood anyways but I got so soaked that day I needed to dry in normal conditions.
It was my 4th wild camp after all!

DAY 4 of Snowdonia Way was carnage. I still think it was the toughest day to the date. In the guidebook it’s day 3 but for me it was day 4 because I split km in the beginning of the trip. 🀘
It was my first low. I enjoyed the first part but the second part I got wrong following All Trails gpx and apparently somebody else was lost and added more km to the real path which cost me my energy, mood and motivation in the end.
I was so glad though I wild camped that day - I would end up doing 40km and I think that would be the end of the trip for me because mentally I was destroyed but also don’t think my body would survive that kind of effort in mountains, uneven terrain (yes, leg), no path, bog for hours and generally speaking very very tough terrain.
Sometimes you just need to know when to stop.βœ‹

To be continued but all stories and SNOWDONIA WAY highlights are up to date!
And YouTube episodes will be sooooo good when I start editing them when I come back! πŸ”οΈπŸ₯ΎπŸ•️

Wait a second… I just realised I never posted about my FIRST EVER SOLO WILD CAMP! πŸ•οΈ
In the mountains! πŸ”οΈ
How dare I.

There was so many emotions that day, a bit of good planning, a bit of bad planning, weather playing with forecasts, tent not behaving as it should (of course it’s the tent - not me coming unprepared) πŸ€ͺ

You also know now it’s part of the preparation for the bigger trip starting this Thursday…!

Guys, it was super stressful but also so worth it.
Get out from your comfort zone from time to time. Whatever you do in life 🀘

More on YouTube soon. πŸ₯Ή
