This photo was taken 13 years ago, after winning gold in the K1 200 at London 2012 - the first of four Olympic cycles Gordy and I would share. If you’d told us then what lay ahead, I’m not sure either of us would have believed it.
So much of what we achieved can’t be measured in medals or moments on a podium. It was built quietly, day after day… on trust, honesty, belief, and countless hours of work behind the scenes.
This isn’t the end of the book. It’s simply the beginning of a new chapter.
