Most of the day belonged to everyone else. The timeline, the toasts, the fifty small things that need a decision in the middle of a reception.
So when the light started doing something worth chasing, Quincy and Daniel slipped out — less than ten minutes, down to the dock, before anyone noticed they were gone.
No touch-ups. No list of poses. Just the marsh going gold and a few minutes to remember it was still just the two of them underneath all of it.
Then they walked back in like nothing happened.

Because the moment a bride feels like she’s performing, the photos start to look like it too. The moment she feels like she has a partner instead of a director, everything changes.

Mallory hadn’t even left the room yet.
Hewitt Oaks in full form — gold-leaf mirrors, chinoiserie wallpaper, a chandelier dripping crystal over a bed that looked more like a cloud. Mallory’s gown alone did half the work, hand-beaded in pearls from strap to train, catching light like it had somewhere to be.
But the real shot isn’t the dress. It’s her laughing with her head back before anyone told her to. It’s the quiet ones too — sitting on the floor by the French doors, veil half over her face, waiting on nothing in particular.
Some brides wear a gown. Mallory wore the whole room.

I met Jordan and Athena 7/4/23 when Jordan proposed at Palmetto Bluff with his co-conspirators Telly, Tamara and pretty much all of Athena’s family.
Fast forward to November and a reuniting of both of their families, friends and the team that was a part of the proposal...I could not imagine a more beautiful experience to be a part of and to be able to capture.
