Your curious, observing nature is something I stop to watch multiple times a day — in awe of you when you are captivated by something. Watching you with your dad is one of my favorite ways to pass time, especially when you get him into trouble. Mommy will get better with birthdays, but just know you are celebrated each & every day. Standing in the middle of a dog park with tears in our eyes as Booker ran around for the last time was the last thing I expected to be doing last week Tuesday, however there was nowhere else I could imagine being.
Booker, I met you once for an hour… but I could feel how much the loss of you would change your mama. - sis, I love you. I’m so sorry everything happened so quickly 😔 But he is free of pain, happily prancing along searching for grass to eat.

For the past 14 years, I have had the EXTREME blessing of capturing memory after memory for families, and some more than once.
I met this beautiful family in 2021 when they were a new party of 3. We were celebrating B’s first birthday & from there — any time I met with them for more photos it was as if I was reconnecting with family. Over the last few years, Jody & Alain have ALWAYS been constants in my corner even if it was only through a screen.
During one of the absolute hardest seasons in my life, I found solace in their company. Their desire for peace for those around them radiates through their words, their actions and most definitely through their embrace… an embrace you didn’t know you needed until you let go from them.
As the years passed, watching their family flourish was like watching an extension of my own… we cheered for one another, laughed, cried, vented & grieved with one another. For myself, one of my core memories was watching B waltz over to her mom & baby brother and while timidly standing near — you could read the pride in her eyes as ‘BIG SIS’ & it was a glint of how she plans to honor that title.
Jody, THANK YOU for being the woman that you are. Throughout the years, you have been a woman I have admired & cherished. I cannot thank you enough for being the voice you were for me when I needed it, I’ll never be able to repay you. The amount of gratitude I have for you & Alain is immeasurable, even if all you guys did was listen.
Thank you for sharing THIS with me — two of your most cherished gifts. Watching you both as parents is a blessing in itself & it’ll go down as one of my greatest invitations. As simple as this session was in-home… these are some of my proudest images. I hope for more memory making sooner than later, I love you guys!!!!
