The Netherlands American Cemetery is the only American war cemetery in the Netherlands and one of the most significant overseas burial sites for American forces in Europe.
Established during World War II, it became the final resting place of more than 8,000 American soldiers who died during the liberation of Western Europe.
Each white cross and Star of David represents a life once lived, a person with family, dreams, and a future that was never fulfilled.
