Inspired by to make this. It was nice to go through the ol’ archives and find some favourites.

These are photos I consider almost perfect. Vertical version.
While on a shoot down in Okayama I saw a cat in Kojima Jeans Street.

This is Nuco-chan and her awesome daddy,, the mind behind the amazing denim creations at (they’re incredible, please have a look!)

It warmed my heart to see so much love between them and it made me miss my cat so bad 😭😭
Over the last six months I’ve had the privilege of visiting the newly renovated three times. On this particular occasion I took photos for Vol.1, 2026, with sublime storytelling by the singular who writes about things in such beautiful ways that I am in awe of her mind!

I have more (mostly unseen!) photos from Park Hyatt Tokyo coming soon.

I’m a Tokyo-based photographer and videographer! Available within Japan & globally 🫶🏻
Atami Garden is a divine onsen villa in Atami by independent hoteliers. She’s a 1936 Showa era architectural beauty with hand-selected contemporary elements layered over her retro bones.

I adore the wrap-around Japanese garden filled with momiji and plum blossom trees (the azaleas were azalea-ing while I was there) BUT the best part for me is the totally private onsen. Especially if you’re a bit worried about getting rudie nudie in front of strangers (or you have tattoos) this is your very own onsen in the privacy of your accommodation.

Perfect for anyone looking for nature healing/to get your creative juices flowing/hang out with friends and family/experience true local life in Atami.

Imagine how the first person who ever saw a rainbow must have felt. They would have lost their mind.
Whether the night calls for a relaxed start or something a little livelier (or a bit of both as the evening progresses) it’s possible to find it all within the Park Hyatt Tokyo.

On the 41st floor, The Peak Bar is the natural first stop. It’s a soaring glass atrium filled with bamboo and natural light, offering a polished space for a cocktail with live music and views that stretch right across the Tokyo skyline.

Further up on the 52nd floor, the mood shifts at the New York Bar. It remains one of Tokyo’s most iconic destinations, recognized for its role in Lost in Translation and its steady flow of live jazz.

Moving from the light, airy lounge to the moody atmosphere of the jazz bar is a great way to see how two spaces in the same building can offer such different perspectives of life above Shinjuku.
These were some of the best days of our lives.

Thank you for the most charming, historic backdrop to our Scottish Highlands experience. 100% recommend.

How many times can I say “ham and cheese toastie” in an Instagram post? 🥪

A funny story from a funny day with. Even weirder, though, was that this was actually the second time that we were approached in a random place while doing Showa Era activities in just a few months.

I’ll tell you about the other time next week or something.

PS The Japanese in the first TV screenshot mentions that this is a program about “disappearing genuine retro” and in the yellow it says “One of their goals was to try vending machine food”. The second says “What I was eating was a hot sandwich” and “グー!” which just means like “good” lmao
I’m back on my mission to spread the Hatoya Hotel love.

One thing before I tell you a quick story: you can actually book Hatoya Hotel on booking dot com now! Major! Is this hotel for any ol’ person who wants a hotel stay? No! Is it for someone who wants to feel like they’ve stumbled through a shimmering, glowing forcefield that rearranges space, time and matter, warping you directly to a place that no longer exists and a time that never-was-nor-ever-could-be? Yes!

I have one strange story about Hatoya. A few years back my friend Dan had his birthday there. Arriving at Ito station there were a few taxis in the rank (Ito is a fairly decently sized little coastal town) and I hopped into the first one. I said: “Hatoya Hotel, please.” He turned to me and said: “The one on the mountain?” I said yes. And off we went.

A few hours later we descended down the steep hill to a drinking spot on the beach. After it wrapped up, tired and not really wanting to walk up the hill again, I headed over to the main road and flagged down the first taxi I saw. I hopped in and said: “Hatoya Hotel, please.” He turned to me and said: “The one on the mountain?”

We both looked at each other in disbelief. The same taxi driver.

I truly believe that Ito (and all of the Izu Peninsula for that matter) is imbued with funky mystical energy that create these synchronicities.

Long live Hatoya Hotel!
I didn’t start taking photos to become a photographer.

I started photography because I loved how it made me feel. I loved the way it made me subconsciously search for beautiful things, literally rewiring my brain to be happier and more grateful.

It helps me meditate, relax, explore, express my creativity, discover new things. I’ve learned so much about myself through the photos I choose to take. It helps me remember people and times and spaces and feelings, even when they’re long gone.

Photography is the greatest gift in my entire life 💖
