and apparently that’s enough for some to assume I might have a shopping problem
BUT if you opened most of those boxes, you’d find diapers, wipes, sunscreen, hand soap, toothbrushes, replacement water bottles, and all the other everyday things that keep a family running.
one thing that doesn’t get talked about enough is the mental load behind those deliveries. noticing what’s running low, remembering what needs replacing, and making sure everyone has what they need before they need it.
so yes, there are always packages on my porch, i’ll be the first to admit that.
but a porch full of deliveries doesn’t automatically mean frivolous spending. sometimes it simply means someone is managing a household.
welcome to a new series/game called:
✨ is this frivolous spending or simply something we need? ✨
because having essentials delivered to your home isn’t a shopping problem—it’s often just one more way of getting things done👏🏼
I love art and feel so inspired to try oil pastels because of her account!

full of love and laughs and sass and sillies
and the most fun and funny, full of expression cutie pie faces
a joy in our lives today and every day
🍰🎈🎊
I highly recommend decorating your wagon or stroller for walks on children’s birthdays🎈
this is absoluty going to become a birthday tradition in this home🍰

I wanted to make my daughter a birthday crown for her first birthday, and it took me hours trying to get it just right. but it was so worth it.
my favourite little detail is that I used velcro for the number 1 so I can swap it out each year as she grows. one tiny crown, years and years of birthdays, memories, photos, and traditions all stitched into it hehe👑
these are the things I hope they carry with them forever — the handmade things and also the feeling of being deeply loved💕
one of my favourite parenting “hacks” is using the library to absolutely overdo it on books for every season and phase. we bring home stacks and stacks, read them over and over again for weeks, and by the end it becomes very obvious which ones truly deserve a permanent spot on our shelves.
the best part? there’s zero pressure to get it right the first time. no wasting money on books your kids only care about for three days. just endless chances to discover new favourites, build little traditions, and then head back a month later for a whole new stack to fall in love with.
having fun isn’t hard when you’ve got a library card🎶 arthur was right all along 📚
do you have a library near you? we’re so lucky to have a location right down the road from us!

a family member recently inquired about why I posted this and I responded with “I saw another account do it and I was so interested I read each slide and scrolled all the way to the end.”
when thinking about why I was so interested in that, I think I felt almost a sense of relief reading that somebody else who was a stay at home mom also spent money every single day. it can feel so exhausting to spend money on such a regular basis, but life is expensive and there’s always something that’s needed.
so for me, I decided that I wanted to share this series as well, so that someone else honestly might find a little bit of comfort in thinking hey I did a lot of spending this week, but it was honestly all on my kids or something small for myself.
any amount of relatability is valuable to me when I’m following people and when other people are following me!
stay tuned for next week’s carousel that will begin with (candidly a very UNrelatable) major jump scare💸🇮🇹
creds back to the original inspo
• nana and poppa visited and helps us make a little garden while dad was away at a successful work conference he planned
• celebrated the bdays of dad and poppa (they have the exact same bday!)
• kinder orientation (!!!!!!!!!)
• hours of work on juliet’s felt crown 👸🏼
• road trip back to our hometown for a long weekend
• celebrating my cousins wedding and a reason for the whole fam to be together and all dressed up (including the kids!)
• a hang with out best friends
• juliet’s first birthday party🎈(more pics to come because obviously this needs it’s own post)
• lots of jack and auntie time
the windows are open, the days are longer, but suddenly the clutter feels… louder
so this month, we’re keeping it simple
a little reset, one space at a time — inside and out (and also maybe trying to do what we missed in april🤷🏼♀️)
think: clearing out what winter left behind
letting go of what we don’t use anymore
making room for slower mornings, outside play, and fresh air
nothing extreme, nothing overwhelming
just small, doable shifts that actually make your home feel lighter
if you’ve been waiting for the “right time” to reset your space… this is it
save this to follow along all month + tell me — which area are you starting with? 🌿
