先日、夜に僕の温室（ビニールハウス）に向かう途中、ヒラヒラした細長い一反木綿みたいなものが目の前に現れ、なんとかすぐ気づいたので、回避する事ができました。
慌てた僕は、「何なのか？ 幻だったのか？」と、ライトで確認した所、謎のテープだった事が判明。
その時僕は、ハウスの中の植物に水をあげなきゃって使命感で行動していたので、その場を後にし、ハウスで夜間作業をして帰宅しました。
そして翌朝、いつものようにハウスに向かうと（爺の畑の脇を通過しないと僕のハウスにいけない）、衝撃的な事実が判明しました。
昨夜、ピラピラしていたテープは、虫取りテープ、通称「捕虫シート」でした。
朝だったので、そのテープに捕虫されてる虫が肉眼でくっきり、はっきり見え、もしあの時、顔面にピタッと張り付いていたらと思うとゾッとしました。
最近、きゅうりなのかトマトなのか知りませんが、植物を這わせる枠とネットをお手製で完成させた物（クレイ爺作）がありまして、昨今のオーガニック意識を取り入れたのか？
元々、「畑の殺し屋」と異名高いクレイ爺に、僕と嫁さんは「大量に殺虫するのも、食べ物ならほどほどに」と注意していたせいなのかは定かではありませんが、薬剤を控えた野菜作りを意識したのか、粘着トラップがとんでもない長さで仕掛けてあり、それが微風でも舞うので、苗の近くに移動させておきました。
そもそも、苗の枠ネットに着けるなら、まだ100歩譲ってわかるんですが、その枠はノーマークで、そのさらに後ろの、クレイ爺お手製の、僕のハウスの植物を吊るす2mくらいの枠の両サイドにトラップが仕掛けてあるので、毎回通行の際に不快になるんです。
なので、仕掛けを野菜ネットに戻したところ、まさかの、また通路側にトラップが戻ってきていたので、また僕が戻すという、謎の攻防を繰り広げているわけなんですが、明日もまたトラップがハウス側に戻されていたら、切り刻みたいと思います。
道側に戻す理由は、もはや聞く事はありません。とんでもない話をされるからです。
やっぱり、クレイ爺を理解できる人は、この世に1%もいないのだとわかりました。

その為、クレイ爺の畑にネコ対策なのかトマトやら茄子らしき苗にCDの版がぶら下がっていて、日中チカチカしてまして毎回僕の目を不快にしてくれてます。
そんな畑で先日の早朝にノコギリを持ったクレイ爺が暴れ回っていたので、水撒きしながら遠目に監視していたところ、数年前に嫁さんが植えたマヤツリー（ユッカ）が気になったらしく突如、僕の名前を近所の皆様に聞こえる声量で呼びはじめたので、恐る恐る近づくと、コレ切るからと（ユッカ）を指さし、何でといったら風通しが悪いからとの返答だったので嫁さんの木だからダメだよって教えてあげたら、違う！コレは（嫁さん妹のだ）だから切る。
と意味不明な回答が返ってきました。
僕が植えたので違うからと伝えて切っちゃ駄目だからねと伝えて、また遠めから監視していたら庭でよーやく立派になった藤を狂ったよーに伐採してました。
そもそも風通しが悪いって言うなら爺のメダカのデカい水槽やら意味不明な小屋など転々と庭に建てる方が風通しわるいのでカオスすぎる内容なんですが、通りかかった息子に本日のジェイソン話しをしたら、息子が、そもそも勝手に人の植物を切ったりするのは良くないことだよねって、ど正論を叩き出してくれたので、ほっこりしました。
一応、刃物をわかりにくい所に隠すとこからはじめたいと思います。今週もクレイ爺と僕は絶好調であります。
