Meal so good I was already looking at a date when I can next return. Classic French bistro near Farringdon, authentic dishes with menu on chalkboard. Came for the rabbit but ended up getting oysters, chicken liver pâtÊ, goats cheese, magret de canard (shared between 2) & crème caramel.
The crème caramel was a real nostalgic childhood dessert and this one was perfect! The texture was spot on and was a lovely finish to an excellent meal. I'll be back.

Breakfast at Cafe Kitsune in with an array of their pastries and matcha treats. Can't remember everything but I believe we got a matcha pain suisse, berry and vanilla rice pudding cruffin and miso caramel bun.

Every day for the past few months I've walked past Bulrush and been so intrigued by it, and we finally went for dinner last night. We went for the fish/meat set menu with wine pairings:

â¨Langoustine chawanmushi, yuzu, squid
â¨Montgomery cheddar, onion marmalade, sourdough
â¨Heritage beetroot, whey sorbet, rosehip
â¨Scallops, kohlrabi, pike roe, seaweed, bacchus
â¨Plaice, smoked eel, fermented turnip, vin jaune
â¨BBQ venison haunch, venison dumpling, walnut ketchup
â¨Tunworth, honey, Wiltshire truffle, homemade crackers (not pictured)
â¨Sake lees ice cream, nashi pears, mead
â¨Baked potato ice cream, cep sponge, dandelion

Stand out dishes for me were the venison, Montgomery cheddar and plaice courses. The Montgomery cheddar was a cheese custard and oh my gosh!! The flavour was a lot stronger than I anticipated, in the best way. Very interesting flavour combinations overall and a memorable mealđ¤
