Tried something different and very home-style today.

This is from an Odisha coastal food pop-up at Marriott Hyderabad, running from 23rd January to 1st February.

I tried their Odisha thali — ajwain puri, rice, mutton, and traditional Odia sides.

The flavours are mild, balanced, and very comforting.

Honestly, the mutton with rice was my favourite part of the meal.

You are mistaken if you think only men give you the evil eye.

Wallahi, even women can burn you with hasad without saying a word.

Some women can’t stand your clear skin, beautiful hands, nice nails,

even your cutlery, your aesthetic kitchen,

or the simple way you plate your food.

Some don’t have the heels you wear,

the eyebrows you shape,

the features Allah gave you,

the body you carry,

or the dress you think is “normal.”

Some women cry because they don’t have the children you casually post.

Some have daughters and pray for a son.

Some don’t have a husband,

and your simple picture sitting next to yours feels like a stab of hasad.

Some don’t have the car you drive,

the home you stay in,

or the peace you enjoy.

And you think every person watching your stories is clapping for you?

No.

Most scroll with silent jealousy, not silent dua.

This is the reality of social media —

the blessings you show become targets you never asked for.

🔐 Before You Post… Protect What Allah Gave You:

• Recite “Mā shā’ Allāh, Lā quwwata illā billāh.”
• Read Surah Al-Falaq & An-Naas daily.
• Give sadaqah often — it breaks the effect of evil.
• Conceal your blessings until they are stable.
• Don’t overshare what others are begging Allah for.

Your life feels stuck… your blessings feel blocked… and your heart feels heavy.

This isn’t always destiny.

Many times, it’s Hasad — the same spiritual harm that even touched some of the greatest people before us.

As a student of the Deen for over 40 years, I’ll tell you what I’ve seen again and again:

Hasad is real. But its cure in the Sunnah is even more powerful.

Here’s how the Prophet ﷺ himself healed from Hasad and taught us to protect our souls:

1️⃣ He recited Surah Al-Falaq & Surah An-Naas daily

When the Prophet  was affected by Hasad, Allah revealed these two Surahs as the ultimate protection.

(Reference: Sahih An-Nasa’i & Tafsir Ibn Kathir — Asbāb an-Nuzūl of Al-Mu’awwidhatayn)

✔️ Morning
✔️ Evening
✔️ Before sleep

These Surahs were literally sent as a cure.

2️⃣ He ﷺ blew over his body after reciting the last 3 Surahs

Aisha (RA) said:

“Whenever the Prophet ﷺ felt ill, he would recite Al-Falaq, An-Naas, and Al-Ikhlas and blow over himself.”
(Sahih al-Bukhari)

This is your Sunnah healing routine — simple, powerful, consistent.

3️⃣ He (ﷺ) taught us the Du’a against Hasad

“A’udhu bi Kalimatillāhit-Tāmmāti min kulli shayṭānin wa hāmmatin wa min kulli ‘aynin lāmmah.”
(Sahih Muslim)

Recite this daily — it protects from evil eye, jealousy, and hidden harm.

4️⃣ He ﷺ used ruqyah for those affected

The Prophet  said:

“The evil eye (and Hasad) is real.”

(Sahih Muslim)

And he performed ruqyah on companions who were harmed by Hasad.

✔️ Recite Al-Mu’awwidhat (Falaq & Naas)
✔️ Blow gently on yourself or your children

5️⃣ He ﷺ encouraged giving Sadaqah

Because Sadaqah protects your blessings and removes unseen harm.
