Yes, I’m EXHAUSTED (and jet ✈️ lagged), but I don’t take this for granted. I absolutely LOVE what I do! 💙❤️💛💚🧡💜🩷
It’s rarely just tired.
It’s the late-night scrolling, skipped workouts, short patience, sugar cravings, brain fog, and feeling like you’re “off” spiritually and emotionally.
We normalize exhaustion, then wonder why everything else feels harder.
Rest isn’t laziness—it’s protection.
Tonight, choose sleep like it’s self-respect. ✨
What’s the biggest thing stealing your sleep right now? 👇🏾

The Moment: I just spoke with my Aunty Yetunde (who teaches Yoruba back in Nigeria). I told her I need to call her to learn/practice and speak Yoruba with her. She was so happy about this.
My Mommy said “good job” in a way I never heard before.
Kini itumo “gbosa”? 🤷🏾♀️
She told me afterwards.
I’m also looking for brands to partner with this year to help me on this important side quest.
In the meantime, if you’re a first, second, or whatever generation Yoruba adult who wants to practice with me, start sending me voice notes so we can chat. We got this!
Sisters who understand the sacrifice.
Who clap when you win.
Who remind you what’s possible when you forget.
Community matters.
Alignment matters.
And so does believing there’s room for all of us to shine. 🤍✨
Save this if you believe in sisterhood that elevates.
January 1st used to give me so much anxiety. So I stopped forcing it.
I made July 1st my personal New Year instead. I have more energy, a better mood, and way more clarity then.
From my birthday (12/10) through the second week of January, I go into intentional hibernation—fully present for the holidays and reflective about the year I just lived.
Here’s your permission slip:
✨ You don’t need all your goals locked in on January 1st
✨ You don’t have to be “on” 365 days a year
✨ Rest is not falling behind—it’s preparation
Ease into the year. Take breaks on purpose. Rest, recharge, and reset.
Save this for when the pressure creeps in.
Share it with a woman who needs to hear this today💛
And now, after almost 4 years of being single, here’s what I know for sure:
✨ Being single in your 30s does not mean you’re broken.
✨ It means you’re building.
✨ God is not punishing you, He’s preparing you.
Some of the loneliest women are married — I used to be one of them. So don’t let society’s timeline rush you into settling for less than God’s best.
Live your life. Heal. Build. Travel. Invest in yourself. And please — don’t settle for a yam belly too… iykyk 💁🏾♀️

I got a 24 (not good) on the old MCAT after THREE tries. My med school application was ready Summer 2008, but I felt too inadequate to hit submit until my Mommy forced me to in December (super late). I only had TWO interviews (#MeharryMedicalCollege and another school) and was accepted to BOTH!

My USMLE STEP EXAM transcript is an anomaly for sure. This is NOT a flex. Behind each failure was either illness, pain, or grief that I would have rather skipped. As you can see, I missed passing Step 1 and 2 by 1-2 points. Then I bombed Step 3 a couple times before missing the pass by 1 point. I passed on my FOURTH attempt!
DON’T COUNT YOURSELF OUT!
I was put on academic remediation and probation and was almost kicked out of residency. In my last year, my program had reasonable concerns about me passing my OBGYN boards based on my exam history.
I ended up getting the highest in-service exam score in the department that year, and passed my written and oral exams on the first attempt. My experience gave me the ability to help other repeat test-takers pass as a faculty tutor for an OBGYN board exam review company.
DON’T COUNT YOURSELF OUT!
Some of you are seeing this and are immediately comparing your stats. That’s useless because my journey is mine and you are on your own, UNIQUE journey.
Others are seeing this and making assumptions about my intelligence and may be saying, “Phew, I’m glad that isn’t me!” Let me save you some time.
Plot twist: I have an average IQ and wasn’t diagnosed with ADHD until AFTER I became a Board Certified OBGYN. Let that sink in.
Sis, DON’T COUNT YOURSELF OUT!
