Also why do I feel larger 4 months post partum than 4 weeks post partum?
I thought breastfeeding was supposed to help the weight drop off but instead I seem to be storing more fat? The pressure to bounce back especially during weight loss jabby era is immense.
Let's not mention the constant worry of Alba's brain condition and how SLOW everything seems to be regarding it. I got a letter before christmas from her paediatrician saying she'd been referred for an urgent MRI of her brain due to the fluid in her ventricles increasing yet I'm still to hear anything...
Wondering whether I should be being more proactive and pushing for brain surgery for a vp shunt to be fitted before the fluid increases too much and causes irreversible damage or if I'm jumping the gun because there is still a chance it could start to decrease on its own...
Time PLEASE slow down. I'm trying to soak it all in!

Our absolute miracle baby.
Born at 7.14pm Friday 5th September 3 weeks early weighing 5lb 13oz.
Alba is doing so much better than expected. So far she has needed no time in the NICU, she is feeding well and she has passed all of her obs. Her vision appears to be normal at this point which is something that could have been affected by her condition. Her bloods have been sent to Guys hospital for further genetic testing and we are awaiting on bloods for her pituitary, hormone and thyroid levels.
She will be having a brain scan on Monday to make sure the extra fluid on her brain isn't causing any pressure. If this comes back ok then we will hopefully be discharged next week as outpatients to start our lives properly with the final piece to our jigsaw. Pray for us that all results come back ok ❤️
