This was actually my second time doing the Takedao Abandoned Railway Hike in Hyogo, and I enjoyed it just as much as the first time.
Walking along the old railway tracks, passing through dark tunnels, and taking in the views of the Mukogawa Gorge never gets old. It feels like a little adventure without being too challenging.
The hike is about 5 km long with 6 tunnels along the way.
💡 Tips:
• Bring a flashlight, as some of the tunnels can get really dark. Your phone’s flashlight won’t be enough.
• It can get chilly inside the tunnels, so bring a cardigan or light jacket if you get cold easily.
• Some parts of the tunnels can be wet, so watch your step.
I’d also recommend going with friends, unless you want to experience what it’s like to be Batman walking through dark tunnels alone. 🤣
Definitely one of my favorite hikes near Osaka and a place I’d happily visit again. 🇯🇵✨
