Ege’nin Kalbi İzmir’in Damak Yolculuğu ♥️
İzmir’i sadece Ege’nin incisi yapan şey denizi, güneşi ve tarihi değildir; sofralarına sinmiş lezzetler de bu şehrin ruhunu anlatır. Kordon’da dalga sesleri eşliğinde yenen bir boyoz, sabahın erken saatlerinde gevreğin yanına alınan tulum peyniri ya da Kemeraltı’nda kokusunu uzaktan duyulan midye dolmalar… İzmir mutfağı, aslında kentin günlük yaşamının bir parçasıdır.
Her İzmir sabahı, fırınlardan yayılan boyoz kokusuyla başlar. Yanında haşlanmış yumurta ve çayla tamamlanan bu gelenek, şehrin damak hafızasına kazınmıştır. Öğleye doğru ise sokaklarda çıtır gevrekçiler çıkar karşınıza. İstanbul simit diyebilir ama İzmirli için o sadece “gevrek”tir.
