Whenever I go to Liverpool I like to ask older Liverpool fans who have seen all our teams the last 50 to 60 years who our best ever player was…
I find it hard to think anyone can top Stevie G. but they all give me the same answer: King Kenny. And as a younger Liverpool fan I have to respect that and have seen many clips on Youtube but it’s hard to really get it the same way as those who experienced him live.
This new documentary by the great lets us in on unseen moments from Kenny’s playing days, from Celtic to Liverpool I got to see so many iconic memories retold from his point of view.
Then the movie shifts focus after what happened in Hillsborough in 1989. Through that tragedy and the horrors all the families went through, Kenny stood up for all those that were impacted. In a time when we have so many rotten leaders it’s inspiring (and needed) to hear this life story of someone who always put his family and his people first.
That’s all to say I highly recommend all Reds and football fans to see this documentary when it comes out on Prime on Nov. 4th 🎥
