Hi, I’m Lena - not your average studio photographer based in Somerville, MA. Why not you average you ask - just look at my Instagram and you will see that my style is very different from many studio photographers who you find here in Boston.
Over the last 14 years, I’ve captured all sorts of moments starting from birthday parties / weddings celebrations / many other events to a lot of studio sessions when I decided to move to studio photography 4 years ago (personal branding, maternity, boudoir - you name it).
Here are couple of interesting facts about me:
• I was born in Russia and went to photography school there
• I live in Boston for the last 14 years
• In US I started in medical school (PA) but made the switch to a full-time photographer position four years ago - and I regret nothing!
• I am a single mom of a beautiful girl
• I started studio photography out of my house and finally found my perfect studio in 2023 and now it feels like home
• I’m obsessed with black and white photos and love grain
• I prefer natural light and use it in 90% of all my sessions
• In the summer — find me playing beach volleyball, during the winter—catch me on the mountains while I’m snowboarding
• I love music and musical festivals — my favorite Lost Land and Afterlife. This year going to Paradise Blue and Electric Forest. 2025 - Burning Man 🤞
