A site that reimagines itself, without ever forgetting.

At the foot of the Victoria Bridge, between the river and the city, the Memorial Site is taking shape. A place of remembrance, landscape and gathering, conceived as a true gateway to Montreal.

With the new alignment of Rue Bridge along the REM corridor, the site will unfold as a single, continuous and generous space. The layout will fully revolve around the historic Black Rock, the symbolic heart of the project.

A place in the making, rooted in history, open to the city.

The spaces where children learn shape how they feel, focus, and belong.

Rebuilding everything isn't realistic, but reimagining what exists is. Our colleague Eric Pelletier, Architect Senior Principal – Design, sees constraints as an invitation to think differently, and design learning spaces that truly serve their communities. 🏫

A major step forward for mobility in Greater Montreal 🚆

The Deux-Montagnes segment of the is open, adding 33 km to this major structuring network. Each station reflects its surroundings: Some are integrated into neighbourhoods while others are elevated above major roads, but all share the REM’s distinct architectural identity of silkscreened glass, ribbed concrete and metal panels.

Following the South Shore opening in 2023, this new segment marks another essential step in one of Canada’s most significant transit projects.

Congratulations to everyone involved in this collective effort!
