I have spent the last month fervently praying and seeking the Lord's guidance about whether or not I want to continue to pursue photography. My heart has been tugged in all directions and it has been really difficult to pinpoint where it lies. I love shooting film. That shouldn't come as a surprise. Furthermore, I adore my clients--each and every one of them. They have been such a blessing to me and my family and are the number one reason why the decision to close the doors on this chapter of my life has been so difficult. To my repeat clients, THANK YOU. Your faithfulness has truly meant so much to me.
But, I believe the Lord calls us into seasons of wait and want, growth and change. Right now He is calling me into a season of rest. So, I have made the difficult decision to not hold any sessions for the remainder of the year, possibly for the foreseeable future. I am going to practice what I preach...
I am going to cherish every minute with my children. I am going to try to be fully present, available in their moments of need. These precious years are fleeting and my days with them are numbered and I have never felt this more deeply in my core than I do now.

Another month has more or less come and gone and I don’t find myself scrolling much anymore. All is well. We have traveled some, celebrated a birthday, wrapped up baseball season, and are currently settling into that summer life—slow mornings and late nights, dips in the lake or pool, quality time with friends and family…and repeat.
