Before becoming a mum, I saw other women breastfeeding and assumed it would come naturally, that it would just be easy. From that very first latch, though, it was anything but.
There were hospital visits, bleeding and cracked nipples, toes curling through the pain, tears, frustration, and so many moments where I came close to giving up. But we didn’t.
Somewhere along the way, it became one of the most beautiful, rewarding experiences. Convenient and inconvenient all at once, but so incredibly special. Watching my baby grow, knowing that my body has provided everything he needs, is something I’ll never take for granted.
I’m so proud of us for persevering, learning together, bonding, and flourishing.

I knew Megan and Jordan would have the beautiful home birth they so wanted. The worked hard, invested every ounce of energy and prioritised their daughters birth over anything else in life. They did the research, they made wise and very careful decisions so that they both sat in the driving seat. We joke that we spent the day hanging out together having fun but we absolutely did. The room, the space, Megan’s labour, all BURSTING with love, oxytocin respect and support. You guys absolutely smashed it. Thank you for letting me walk alongside you 🩷. Not only did Megan absolutely smash her home birth, Jordan was the most amazing birth partner. This baby girl has had the BEST start in life, born at home, undisturbed, receiving all of those wonderful benefits and Megan is a superstar feeding despite some huge hurdles. Prioritising that 4th trimester with all the love and joy 🩷
