It has been an honor to serve as your Ms. Black District of Columbia USA 2025. My heart overflows with gratitude, reflection, and pride. This journey has been so much more than a crown. It has been a mission of purpose, love, and legacy.
From the very first moment I stepped into this role, I promised to lead with authenticity, compassion, and service. Through countless hours of community engagement, I’ve had the honor of connecting with people whose stories touched my soul, from the young woman who found her voice to the elder whose legacy was preserved through my platform, We C.A.R.E. (Continuously Acknowledging and Remembering our Elderly). Together, we’ve shown that service is not just something we do, it's who we are.
I am beyond grateful to have earned the Heart of Service Award, a recognition that reflects the very foundation of why I serve. Every project, volunteer hour, and moment spent uplifting others reaffirmed that leadership begins and ends with ones heart.
To my sister queens: Thank you for the laughter and love, my pageant coach for your unwavering guidance, Midas Management for your belief in me. To my beloved sorority sisters of ZPhiB, thank you for your support, encouragement, and the powerful reminder of what collective strength looks like. This experience reminded me that leadership isn’t about visibility, it’s about impact. Whether reading to children, celebrating our seniors, or mentoring the next generation, I carried one mission: to lead, empower, serve, and educate.

As a U.S. Navy JAG attorney, I’ve committed my life to service, both to my country and my community, through my platform, We C.A.R.E. Much of that work happens quietly, behind the scenes. So, to be recognized in such a meaningful way, surrounded by my sister queens, family, friends, and sorority sisters, was truly unforgettable.
After the show, I received words that deeply moved me:

Although I'm disappointed I didn't place, I still won!
Looking back, it’s hard to believe how far I’ve come, from a former foster child to becoming an attorney and now stepping into the world of pageantry. Growing up a tomboy, I never imagined I’d one day walk across a stage in heels, a dress, makeup, and speak publicly but I knew deep down I wanted to redefine what femininity meant for me.
I wanted to learn how to love myself, to stop shrinking in spaces I was meant to shine in. I wanted to build my confidence, embrace my story, and grow into a woman who isn't afraid to be seen or heard. I also wanted to get comfortable with being uncomfortable because that’s where true transformation begins.
Pageantry has taught me all of that and more. It's not just about the gowns and the glam. It's about self-discovery, growth, and the courage to evolve.
If you really know me, if you know the journey I’ve walked, you’d be amazed. Just two years ago, I lost so much. I was in a season of grief, uncertainty, and transition. But even in the heartbreak, God was making room. Room for healing. Room for purpose. And unexpectedly… room for pageantry.
I entered my very first pageant, thinking it would be a “one and done” experience. But God had bigger plans. That path led me to, where I was surrounded by the most beautiful, brilliant Black women and teens, each one inspiring me beyond measure. Their light lifted me.
This journey has changed me in ways I’m still unpacking. And now, it’s time to pour into others the same way so many have poured into me.
