This month together holds such a special place in my heart. Not only did she JUST move to Canada and accomplish this milestone, but her life story holds such a special place in my heart that our paths aligned when they did. From her first time holding a tweezer to completing the advanced apprenticeship program. It is so crazy to look back and see the transformation, grit, and growth in just a month. To walk through the beginnings hand in hand and share the laughs, tears, hugs, and proud celebrations in such a short amount of time I will always hold so close. Not only did you excel as a student, rising to real life clients but you did it all while captivating the hearts of everyone along the way simply because of who you are. You blessed me and met my heart in ways I didn’t know I needed and I am forever grateful for the small part I got to play in the beginning of your lash journey.

My students success is truly my greatest success. To have a student invest in you is an honour & I believe it is your duty to invest back tenfolds and to give your gift to others if you can. To me teaching embodies selflessness & generosity, to give what is your own, and gift it to another. The people who have impacted my life the most were never the richest, the oldest, or the loudest, but the ones who taught me the most.
I would like to continue to change the standards of lash education through deeper programs & customized ways for all learning styles to meet the needs of every individual at any point of their personally life or lash journey.
When who you are with what you have and what you do leaves a positive lasting impact, changes a life, or gives someone new eyes or hope - you are doing business right. There is no failure when your mission of goodness for others comes from within, a business is just a vessel for your impact.

I wasn’t going to share this on my lash page but honestly life is too damn short and this dream is because of YOU all by my side from the ground up. Although this may be a very vulnerable post to share on a business page social media is a facade and we need more real raw vulnerable stories and ones that show others sacrifice and hope, where vulnerability is honoured and reality isn’t sugar coated but instead used to inspire and empower. ⠀

The past year has been filled with tears, stress, sacrifice and anxiety in ways I never knew existed but here we are. Beyond a tangible item this house is symbolic to me in ways I could never put it into words.⠀⠀⠀⠀

Growing up with a single immigrant Mom and four kids we had early lessons of hardship. I remember watching my mom line up for food & clothing donations at church, growing up in funded housing, what it was like to meet for Christmas in parks. We never knew a home with stability or sanity so the importance of taking care of each other and hard work was engrained and I vowed from a young age to take care of my siblings, no matter what. My dream of buying a safe home for us started in high school so I started preparing then.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

After the inability to live at home from a young age, between homes, couches, storage, working up to 4 jobs at times. Starting my lil business on a couch while working 3 other jobs is a time I will never forget. There were days the light was so faint, times that bring you to your knees, but the dream of a safe home would not let me quit, even if it would take years. (write up continued below)
