初の金継ぎ体験。
鎌倉で金継ぎ教室をされている大脇京子さんが金継ぎワークショップ開催のためにフランスに来ており、これを機にお願いしたいものが2点あったので自宅で金継ぎ教室なるものをを行ってもらった。
一つはエジプトから持ち帰った壺。購入先のお店のお兄ちゃんのラッピングが甘く、気をつけて持ち帰ってきたのに封を開けたら淵が欠けていた。
もう一点は一昨年家族で沖縄に行った時に持ち帰ったお茶碗。洗ってたら滑って割れてしまった。
金継ぎの色は、エジプトの壺はゴールド、沖縄のお茶碗はシルバーに。
京子さんが丁寧に指導してくださり、全くの初級者の私でも抵抗なく金継ぎを施す事ができた。
そしてエジプトの壺もお茶碗も金継ぎを施したら風格が一段上になったような。(割れてよかった、、と思えた！笑)
金継ぎの世界は手を触れた程度だけども、これからも細々と続けていきたい。
京子さんとは、コロナ前(？)にアスティエを派手に割ってしまったのが始まりだったような。当時は私や母が割った器を持ち込んでは毎回素敵に仕上げてくださっていた。その後2023年頃だったか....？古巣の社長が京子さんの金継ぎ教室に通っていると聞き、何て偶然なんて思ったり。そして2026年こうやって金継ぎ教室をパリでお願いしたり未来のプロジェクトのちょっとしたお手伝いをさせて頂いたりと、人生とは面白いなぁ。
完成した金継ぎを見た家人たちは皆興味深々。
短編映画(動画？)を作ったり絵を描いたり、ドラムをしたりと常に何か作ったり生み出す事が好きな長男は「これどうやるの？普通の接着剤を使う�
楽しみにお待ちいただいて、
ようやくお届けできました。
仕上げに取りかかろうとするたびに、
気になるところを見つけてはまた戻りを繰り返し。。。
難しいことはありません、
ただ納得のいくまでやり続けることが大切だと気づきました。
直接お届けした際に見せてくださった
喜びのお声や表情。
その瞬間が、
私にとって何よりの励みであり、
金継ぎを続ける源になっています。

江戸切子のタンブラー
代用金仕上げにて修復いたしました。
切子は、その繊細なカットゆえに、
凹凸に沿って線を描いていく作業がとても難しく、
集中力と根気が求められます。
そんなとき、いつも心に留めている言葉が

我が家の合言葉でもありますが、
教室の皆さまにもよくお伝えしている言葉です。

長い年月を経て受け継がれてきた器が、
自分の代で大きく割れてしまったということで、
そのショックは計り知れないものだったと思います。
こうして再び形を取り戻し、これから先へつないでいけることを嬉しいとおっしゃってくださいました。
以前、ワンデイレッスンにご参加くださったご縁から、
今回は本漆による修復をお任せいただきました。
器が割れてしまったときの選択肢はひとつではありません。
ワンデイレッスンで接着剤を使ってご自身で直すのも素敵ですし、本漆で時間をかけて修復するのもよい方法です。
場合によっては、専門家に依頼するという選択もあります。
大切なのは、その器やオーナーの想いに合った方法を選ぶことだと思います。
割れたから終わりではなく、
新しい物語の始まりになる。
そんな金継ぎの魅力を、
改めて感じさせていただいた修復でした。

『ピエタ』というヴェネツィアを舞台にした小説を読んで（聴いて）から、ヴェネツィアに大変興味を抱いていたので、とても親しみを持ってお直しさせていただきました。

Ever since reading (listening to) the novel "Pietà" which is set in Venice, I have been very interested in Venice, so I repaired it with a lot of familiarity.
I can understand how you feel about not being able to easily throw away something that you cherish and that holds memories, even if it breaks.
