その機会を通じて、今の自分が考える美しさを形にしました。
今回のテーマは、
『Hi-Fi ─ 解像度の再設計』
です。
“Hi-Fi”
40代以上の方には、どこか懐かしく聞こえる言葉かもしれません。
かつてカセットテープやオーディオ機器に記されていた、
High Fidelity（高忠実度）
の略です。
当時のHi-Fiは、
「どれだけ忠実に再現できるか」という価値観の象徴でした。
しかし時代は変わり、
トレンドも価値観も大きく変化しています。
では、今の時代における高解像度とは何なのか。
ただ綺麗に整っていることなのか。
ただ正確であることなのか。
僕はそうではないと思っています。
人の手が生み出すわずかな揺らぎ。
均一ではない美しさ。
不完全だからこそ宿る個性。
そんなものまで映し出せた時、
初めて今の時代の「Hi-Fi」になるのではないか。
今回の作品では、
僕なりの”Hi-Fi”をヘアデザインとして表現しました。
技術と感性。
再現性と偶然性。
忠実さと人間らしさ。
その間にある、
今の時代の解像度を感じていただけたら嬉しいです。

その作業が僕はとても好きです。同時に日々の生活の中でアンテナを巡らせ、アイデアを出す作業は、自分と向き合う時間でもあります。
自分の事を知り、そこからクリエーションがスタートするのではないでしょうか？
自分の実体験が必ずデザインに反映していくと思っています。

この場所にずっと行ってみたくて、ご縁があり伺う事ができました。
特攻隊のお話は皆さん知っているとは思います。そして戦時中のお話や映画やドラマ、アニメ、小説などでもその時代にふれることがあると思います。
僕も昭和元年生まれの祖父母にその当時の話を聞いた時の事を思い出します。
戦争が終わって80年。その当時の事を知っている方々はどんどん減ってきていると思います。
世界で戦争や紛争、人と人との争いが日常的に起こっている場所がある一方、安心安全な場所で五体満足に衣食住が整った今の日本で生活できているという事は本当に幸せな事だと思います。
特攻隊の方々や、戦争に行かれた方々、その当時の方々全てが、未来の平和な日本を望み描いたと思います。
僕たちはその上で今こうやって生きている。
そして僕は美容師として、平和がなくては成立しないお仕事に就くことができている。
17歳から32歳までという若さだった特攻兵の方々。もう同じ年代に戻る事はできないが、同じ年代の頃自分は覚悟を決めて自分の仕事に向き合う事ができていただろうか？
初心を持ち続けていれたか？自己ではなく利他の心を持って、生活できていたか？
人は人生の終わりを悟った時、自分が周りにできる事はないか考えると書いてありました。利己な考えや自分のためになるという考えは間違っていないが、やはり利他という事が大切でもっといえば「自利利他」という考えが大事です。周りのために何かするというのは自己犠牲ではなく、周りが幸せになったら自分はもっと幸せになれるという教えです。
では自分は周りのために何ができているか？と問われるとまだまだだと思う次第です。
そうやって今回の旅は、共感や思いを巡らせるということだけではなく、今を生きる自分に何ができるのか？を強く考えさせれる時間になりました。
今年まだ旅先が決まっていない方は是非行ってみてほしいと思います。
