💃🕺🇮🇨 2026 – an experience that will stay in my heart forever! For several reasons:

💃 This festival wouldn’t have been the same without and: Because who is also an organzier of unique Bachata festivals back home in Linz and Salzburg encouraged me to join her at in Puerto de la Cruz – and Kathrin made me fall in love with the Canary Islands and with Bachata in 2023 🫶☀️

🕺💃 The Tenerife Dance Festival is lucky enough to have two organzisers who are not only great dancers, but very welcoming and heartwarming people - muchas gracias, ❤️

☀️ Although I love social dances in Germany, the word „social dance“ got a totally new meaning for me when I attended the four parties during the festival: Because for the first time since I started dancing in Jan 2025, I had the feeling of a magic common energy of each and everyone on the dancefloor ✨The leaders I met really understood and felt each Bachata song they heard – their smiles, their feedback culture, their incredible musicality and their wish to truly connect with the follower made the dances so special. Muchas gracias in particular to,,,,, and 🕺

✨No pressure to perform, no pressure to prove that you are worth dancing with during the whole four days of the festival.

😍The fantastic workshops! I learned so much, especially with my favorite workshop leaders and and 🫶

💃 I was lucky enough to join a leader for a Bachazouk masterclass with which was an incredible experience!

🎶The music! So many lovely Spanish Bachata songs that I’ve rarely heard here in Germany before because of the current passion for Bachata Influence songs on German dancefloors.

💃 I truly also enjoyed every Salsa dance I had in Tenerife ☺️

Next step: Tengo que aprender español🇮🇨😎 Muchas gracias, Tenerife!

💃 My first time at - what an overwhelming experience!

After one year and two months of Bachata dancing, I could not be more grateful for the way this dance has changed my life - and for the encounters with so many lovely people that I wouldn’t have met without it 💜

Self-doubt and the fear of underperforming has as well been part of my first year of dancing Bachata Sensual as the great joy of meeting leaders on the dancefloor with whom you click immediately 💃🕺 And the great ambition to get better at this dance every month (thanks a million times to my beloved crew and especially to )!

Looking forward to many more Bachata festivals - and to hopefully returning to the Las Palmas de Gran Canaria dancefloors again 🇮🇨

A very special shoutout to my two dear friends whom I also met at Munich Bachata Fest - and to who introduced me to this dance in October 2023 during a trip to La Palma 🌴

Muchas gracias to and his fantastic team of this year‘s Munich Bachata Fest edition 🙏🏼 And to my friend who found this nice photo of mine online!

🎦🎨🎭🎶Nine years ago in Mid-January 2017, I published the first article on my website - and began to share my thoughts on arts, theatre, film and classical music on my Instagram account a few months after.

🙏🏼I couldn’t imagine back then how fundamentally important my blog would become for my life – and I am forever grateful for all the encounters with different artists that I’ve had since 2017.

📋Here is a list of the most important things that happened thanks to „Die Kulturflüsterin“ throughout the last 9 years:

🔸I had the chance to sit on stage of and talk about my blog after just half a year of blogging in May 2017
🔸I met a special person on Instagram who became one of my closest friends in real life ♥️
🔸I won the Isarnetz Blog Award in the category „Culture“ in 2019
🔸I created an Instagram live advent calendar where I went live on Instagram with different artists every day from Dec 1st to Dec 24th throughout the lockdown winter 2020
🔸I was invited to a blogger trip to Terenzin for the „Summer School Terezín“ in 2021 where I discovered brilliant masterpieces of the interned Czech-German Jewish composers which were created under the bleak conditions of the ghetto life in the 1940s
🔸I met my absolute childhood hero, the author Helme Heine, in his house in Russell in New Zealand in 2018.
🔸I wrote an article in commemoration of the 20 Jewish people in my house in Munich which were deported to various concentration camps during the 1940s
🔸I realized that I haven’t lost people on my blog after having discovered a new passion in 2025💃🕺
🔸I am very grateful that I’ve managed to remain fully independent in terms of my blogging activities. „Die Kulturflüsterin“ has never been meant to become an optimized digital version of myself, but a way to express my feelings and thoughts about culture – and about the current state of our world.

💜Thank you all for being here and for having supported me from 2017 to 2026! I’m already thinking about possible activities for my 10th „Kulturflüsterin“ jubilee in 2027 🎉

💃🕺One year of Bachata and (a bit of) Salsa dancing – couldn’t be more grateful for all the encounters on and off the dancefloor 🫶

My very personal summary of the dancing year 2025:

🔶 When a dance school becomes a second home: Thank you for the best Bachata lessons I could have wished for Very special thanks to and my beloved 😍
🔶 I don’t want to lie to you: The beginnings were hard – especially in a Bachata stronghold like Munich. Social dances felt like competitions for me for quite a long time, and my level of frustration was quite high. So I knew that the only option for me was to get better very quickly – or to quit the Bachata scene again.
🔶 🫶Having a leader at your side who sees your potential even on the days when you feel most unconfident on the dancefloor is such a gift: Thank you from the bottom of my hear, for all your support this year – and for the most wonderful dances 🕺
🔶 deserves to be in this video twice – thank you so much for making me feel like the queen on the dancefloor every single time we dance 👑
🔶My self-organized dance holiday with in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria was the biggest turning point in my dance career this year – pure joy, musicality and connection wherever I went 🇮🇨
🔶 was the most perfect international dance festival experience ever!
🔶Thanks for the unforgettable Birthday workshop for my 40th birthday, and 💜
🔶Be open towards learning new moves during a social dance – but define your limits and be aware that there are fortunately a lot of leaders who don’t give you the feeling to be an absolute beginner 💃
🔶When Bachateras become very dear friends 🫶
🔶Salsa: Still work in progress (thanks to the lovely )
🔶Very thanks to these wonderful Bachata leaders in Munich
