Winning this FIP tournament is such a special moment for me.
It’s the first title for an Asian player on the global stage in padel history, and it truly means a lot—not only for me, but hopefully for many Asian players as well.
First of all, a huge thank you to my partner Patricia.
Thank you for fighting for every point with me, communicating so well, and believing in us as a team.
The final was 7-6 / 5-7 / 7-6 — such a tough battle. We were close to closing the match in the second set, but after losing it, we came back in the third set at 4-5, saving 4 match points to win the title.
It was a 2.5 hour match and one of the most intense match I’ve ever played. I’m proud that we stayed mentally strong until the end.
Secondly, thank you so much to everyone who supported us—those who came to watch, cheered for us, as well as my family and friends supporting from afar and sending kind messages.
